I would like to find some 1" fine spline axles, but what i have to work with is the 30mm. I looked at McMaster Carr and found seals, but couldn't find any needle bearings. would there be any other place to look for bearings?

Rear End/ Carriers
Just wondering what people are running for a carrier/axles/ axle tubes in their pullers. I blew up my coarse spline and have a fine spline with 30 mm axles out of a hydro that i would like to replace it with. Any one do this? Any advise?

i really don't know where "big block" begins... a 30 is just a slightly stroked version of the 25-27. from the 18-25 the bores and strokes change, amongst other things... I haven't tried it personally, but i have looked into it. Another thing to think about besides just modifying the carb is the access heat build up when using E-85. I know if even E-10 is ran in most air cooled engines people i talked to have ran into issues with heads warping and re-builds need more...
