Re: Remember me?

I think the last time you were active here I was still in KY, but have been down here in FL several years. Joe M even came down a few years back and snagged a couple good deals. :) Good to see you back, help us pick up the activity. Still some us checking in.

Re: Forum Ownership up for grabs

My thanks to Dave also. I think face book (which I refuse to use) has changed a lot of social media. Additionally I think there is a declining core of our generation that is interested in salvaging, fixing or even using these machines. There is a guy locally that advertises on CL, "wanted garden tra...

Is there a simple way to safely enable the tractor to be pulled at a garden tractor speed for a couple hundred yards distance?
Thanks and have a good thanksgiving.

Re: 42" Blade Question

Yes, The one I have listed in the classified I modified to detach by sliding the rod out . Had nothing to do with the operation of the blade. Turn the wheels all the way one direction, slide the rod out, disconnect the lift rod and you're done.

Re: IH Registry Days and Members

Hey Jess,
I still check the site , mostly daily, but seldom post. Talk to Mayor now and then, haven't talked to Skott for awhile.
Still have a couple of CCs, but not "into" it much any more. But always good to see a post from the oldtimers.
Possum Lodge brings back a lot of good memories.

Hi Paul, Sure is good to see your post.
You may know this, but Lonnie is no longer in business. He was a dealer for many years and worked for the dealer( Crawford Gas) he later bought out.
Best to you and Bonnie.

Re: Clutch Won't Disengage, Cub 122

Not a common problem, but happens ocassionaly, especially during humid weather. The surfaces flash rusts together. One solution is to take a stiff putty knife or other thin meta object and pry, rap the two faces apart. When you park it, lock the clutch petal down which helps keep the surfaces separa...

Re: Chevy points installed

Let us know how the Chevy points hold up.
I put them on a 1250 and they lasted for a shorter time than the Kohler points.
They are easy to adjust , that's for sure.
I think all points made today are inferior to those made back a few years.
