International cub 154 184 185 gaskets and seals

Gasket sets and seal for a cub 154, 184 and 185. All CNH parts (and that pains me to say)! All prices +shipping. The bottom end kit wont fit in a flat rate box, but will charge actual shipping prices. Individual prices below or sell it all together for $125, or if you are feeling lucky, make me an o...

Re: The perils of buying a used cub cadet

Here is an update of the progress. First I drained the oil using the drain plug in the bottom. I hit water before the oil. Probably drained about a quart of water off the bottom. I opened it up and can you say yuck? IMG_0651_copy.jpg Is that a gear tooth laying in the bottom among the muck? IMG_0652...

Re: The perils of buying a used cub cadet

Here are some more pictures, mostly of the wear and tear, probably not the damage from the hammer mechanic. How about a cracked seat. My seat is cracked too, but my crack is factory! (I wonder if I can get a response out of 'ole Vince) IMG_0643 - Copy.JPG Steering wheel has a few chunks missing. Loo...

Traded this: resized_IMG_0593.jpg For this: resized_IMG_0637.jpg resized_IMG_0639.jpg resized_IMG_0640.jpg Yes its a 100. Owner told me that it would run, but he couldn't get it to move, so he thought it had drive clutch problems and he knew it had pto clutch problems. I looked at it and the shifter...

If the weld breaks on the shift lever and bell it will look something like this: resized_IMG_0641.jpg Now when you weld it back on make sure you get it in the right position or you wont have enough throw to get it in a couple of gears. Ask me how I know. My solution was to open up the tower a little...

Re: K 301 first engine rebuild ever HELP!!!

As expensive and for as long as they have been out of production by Kohler I think you should do the job once and do it right. If you do it right it should last another 30 to 50 years. These engines are pretty easy to work on. The only problem I have is everything is small and sometimes you don't ha...

Re: I need help identifying parts

No guesses? Did I throw every one off? Maybe I should start a series of identify that cub cadet part! I was right that I had seen them somewhere before, but I was wrong they are not snow thrower parts. It took me several hours looking at part diagrams to find them, but find them I did. So here is th...

I need help identifying parts

I bought a box of parts and these were included, but I cant identify them. Does anyone know what they go to. resized_IMG_0627.jpg The other parts consist the pair of side mounts for a bb36 and a couple of lift brackets for a front blade. I was thinking they were mounts for the gearbox on a snow thro...

Extra Pieces

I was working under the 1450 today and noticed an extra piece from the factory on the front axle. Its a cotter key that got painted and glued inside the web of the front axle.
Not the best picture, but the best one I got.

Re: Sickle bar mower

Thanks to all who have replied with info. I have found out that it was made by Haban for a Gilson (also montgomery ward). Most all of it is the same from what I can tell, with the only different parts being the smaller front pulley and the front axle mount that I may or may not be able to work. Stev...

Stumbled into this at a pawn shop the other day (no joke, the pawn shop is like a salvage yard and inside there is a path you follow and if you run into someone coming the other way one of you has to back up). I did some horse trading and came home with it. resized_IMG_0541.jpg There is no manufactu...

Why didn't IH build 14 hp or 16 hp gear drives?

I thought I would throw this out to the experts! A bunch of us was setting around Saturday discussing our tractor pulling rules and we all wondered why IH never built a gear drive over 12hp? Were they concerned the clutch would not hold the extra power? Or were they concerned that the transmission a...
