Re: M-48 Tank Fuse Problem

Yes, i was also thinking a safety switch is causing the short. Next step is a continuity test on each switch.

M-48 Tank Fuse Problem

I have owned since new, a 2002 M-48 Tank Commercial 19hp Kawasaki, about 1200+ hrs. Recently, upon turning the key to start the engine does not crank over. The inline fuse is blown, this is located on the wire from the + battery side of the starter solenoid within the wire loom. I have replaced the ...

2072 won't start

My 2072 will not turn over. Replaced started solenoid, hoping it was a quick fix. But it just clicks when key is turned. If jumper wire is used directly to starter, the starter will engage. I cleaned all connections, still nothing. Is there another relay? This one did not have to press pedal safety ...

Engine trouble m48 tank

My zero turn is a 2003 Cub Cadet Commercial M48 tank w/kawasaki 19 hp engine. It will not throttle up past 1/4 throttle and blows red exhaust smoke. I am thinking old muffler, and rusting inside preventing engine to breath. A new muffler is $250 , so i don't just want to start replacing parts at ran...

Doing some mowing tonight and the pto bearings decided they were done!
Does the entire pto armature get replaced? OEM or aftermarket recommendation? Looks like its a $275 part too :o

A wealth of knowledge. You are correct, the tractor runs the 451 blower. Thank you again for your time in explaining the pulley size difference with my setup.

Well, I have a mixed match setup...which could be why I can't locate belts size.
What would you recommend if my tractors serial number is 826243 and deck is a 374190. All mounted on 2082

Okay, thank you both. Yes, if it starts up that is great, but sitting for several years is always a consideration. Definitely worth spending the time to get it running, makes a buyer more comfortable during the transaction.

1772 Diesel w/deck

Well, it may be time to part with some of my toys and this one is the first to be considered. Looking for some advice on a price to ask for it. Parked 5 yrs ago, ran when it was parked. The power steering piston is broken, but I have it on the work bench. It does have a deck... any thoughts for valu...

yep, this one has me stumped. I did put it back together, like I mentioned earlier everything fits and works both ways. 383 hydro pulley help

I am working on my little 383 hydro, replacing some old belts and bearings. Removed the intermediate drive pulley(#756-3010) and can't recall which way it is mounted. It's two pulley's mounted/welded together, one is slightly larger diameter than the other. Big dia. on top OR smaller on top??? The t...

Nice looking Rugg.
Funny mentioning changing the gear box...I was actually thinking how fun (okay dangerous) it would be to change the gearing and get some speed out of this mini. But braking was the second thought that came to mind. Ah just a detail.

Re: Mini-Tractor

It is a simple little tractor. Thanks for letting me know about shimming the mower deck to adjust the height. Not too many options with this little one. Funny thing, once the engine is started the blade is spinning, then you get on it. Not something you need to think much about until you actually wa...

Mini-Tractor

We couldn’t resist this one! This is a tractor I have never heard of, but once I saw the picture I knew it was a must have tractor for the collection. "No tractor too small or yard too big to mow if you have the time!" It is a 5hp MOWETT MUSTANG, with a 22” blade, one gear forward, one gear backward...

I like the idea of a loader thread. That little tractor is a workhorse, just have to remember that it has its limits. Just moved 23tons of gravel with it. Getting the new belt and keeping it greased was a priority!!!

Re: part number

Tom, your recommendation was correct. The Napa belt part#5L360W was the correct replacement belt for my 2072 with the Kwik-Way loader. The fit was perfect. And just a side note to those with a loader: Changing the belt is easier prior to the current one failing. In other words, if you can still use ...

part number

Hello All,
I’m in need of a part number for the belt that drives the pump for a Kwik-way loader that is mounted to a 2072? Kwik-way part number is 100207, but I need a crossover number to get a new belt, preferably something from Cub or Napa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the most useful things that was taught to me upon learning how to drive: Always leave yourself an exit plan. In traffic many of us watch the car in front, but forget about the vehicles behind and to the sides. Now think of the all the objects you are passing, that don't move. So the exit plan...

The project for today was to remove all the hitch pins that connect the supports of the loader frame and replace them with nuts & bolts. 383 hydro no more power

My little baby is losing its pull power. It is a 1983 11hp 383 hydro Cub Cadet. The engine runs beautifully, never had a problem. However, the hydrostatic has been losing power. It won’t even move up a small incline anymore. I changed the fluid and put new belts on it, hoping it was something simple...

Therefore, I can't any credit for the attached drawing...just passing it on. I do recommend using th...

Re: 451 blower on a 2072?

This was a topic I was researching a few years ago. The PTO pulley diameter are definitely two different sizes, like everyone has stated. But, I also seem to recall (and I may wrong) there was a difference in the gear ratio within the “spiral gear housing” when I compared the 451 & 450 blower units....

Thanks Ken for the pictures/measurement. I think I'll back away from the plastic vs. metal chute debate, does not appear to be much difference in the overall size. Back to checking the RPM of the engine and still thinking about the rubber pieces on the auger.
