I think I have either a 26 or a 26R car battery in my 104. That size will fit in most narrow frames.

I picked that 104 up Saturday. Here's what I picked up today. 100_0677_1_1.JPG 100_0678_1_1.JPG 100_0679_1_1.JPG I'm going to convert them all (or at least try) into sleeve hitch type implements. But the rear blade has me thinking - maybe a center blade. Any good ideas out there on this? Also any di...

My Third 104
In the "look what followed me home" category. I traded a JD rear engine rider for this. The owner used this to drive to town and back (he has no driver's license due to multiple DUIs). On one of his trips into town, he drove it off into a hole or ditch (yeah, he was drunk) and busted the steering. I...

Paul,
That's a pretty nice looking tractor. Before we know, all but one 800 will be in Kentucky.

Ben, guys, For Wheel Horses go here: http://whtractor.15.forumer.com/ A C-121 were made in 1978 and 1979. But Wheel Horses are pretty much the same from 1970 to 2007 as attachments will interchange during that time period. A C-121 Automatic will have a 12 hp K-301 Kohler, have a Sundstrand transmiss...

Re: 50th Annivesary Model
The one big change I guess, is the fabricated deck. Combining the GT2500 and 3000 series was a market strategy - the 3000 series prices were high, sales were down on them probably for that reason and the demand was down since we're in a disposable society today. The GT2500 offered the ground engagin...

Re: 50th Annivesary Model
The current series of garden tractors are broken down into two series, the GT2500 and the 3000 series. The GT2500 has that flimsy plastic, rear hinge hood that has a gas charged strut to hold it up. It flips back like a car hood does, but that design has proven to be troublesome as the plastic break...

As mentioned, that is a MTD 990, which was sold under different names, i.e. Unico, Agway, Farm King, etc. Very heavy duty tractor, with Briggs engines, s/gs, shaft driven, hydrostatic transmission with high-low range selector, hydraulic lift, 15 inch rear wheels, and some had an optional 3 point, hy...

Jeff yes, your picture is correct, ih on right and brinly on left Francis Ok, the springs I purchased were "marketed" ( described on Ebay ) as IH on the LEFT and Brinly on the RIGHT 0 Jeff, That is correct the IH spring goes on the LEFT, and the Brinly goes on the RIGHT. Francis has it backwards. R...

Re: Lift spring assist questions ( narrow frame )
Jeff,
I got a Brinly assist spring on my 123. I got the manual somewhere, but I have to find it and scan it. It will fit on a narrow frame hydro tractor as it fits on my 123.

Re: which plow should I use?
Correct. But what I was thinking was to shortened all four legs, which would shortened the whole hitch. But you could do the way you describe. The main thing is to try and get the white vertical links in line with the lift bar from the 3 point lift.

Noel,
I love those old Jeep trucks.
On the Commanche trucks, they were unibody construction - not body on frame like most of the competition at that time. Plus 2.8 engine wasn't the best.

BTW, the links are to the 2005 Jeep Gladiator concept. Per the dealer meeting Chrysler held yesterday, they reported a concept similar to that concept.

Re: which plow should I use?
Jeff, Those plans you linked to are mine. The one thing I would have done differently is to shortened the yokes about an inch so the lift links would be more vertical with the lift rod from the tractor's 3 point lift. I think it would improve the lift. Other than that it works great. You're more tha...

Re: Good to see you boys back online
Frank,
I would buy one from you if the price wasn't too bad. Of the ones listed, I would take any, but would go for the 128 first I guess. I'm not into O's and the 126 and 127 are narrow frames. I like the looks of the quiet lines also.
