Re: 1200 oil leak
Check your governor shaft & link arm. Make sure the clamping bolt is tight and the governor shaft is properly adjuster (per the manual). If your breather is clogged, it could be that the brass bushing is leaking oil and caused the shaft to spin loose. I'm actually working on a similar problem (for a...

Re: QL motor mounts - what's wrong?
I understand now.
I tried to get some threaded stud but they didn't have what I was looking for. Instead of running all over, I just got some 3/8 x 1 1/4" bolts with flat and heavy lock washers.

Re: QL motor mounts - what's wrong?
Unless you have new rubber mounts, they will not hold the two rails correctly and th ebolts will loosen up. Every Q/L I get I weld the cross brace between the two IOS rails. This makes a very sturdy cradle that will keep the pan bolts tight. I have jerry rigged new ruber mounts and the welded cradl...

Re: QL motor mounts - what's wrong?
I put solid motor mounts on the 1250 last year so it's not that the ISO mounts are failing and 'pulling' the bolts out.
I hadn't thought of studding the pan and then using locking nuts. That might just work. Darn pain in the neck to do though.

QL motor mounts - what's wrong?
The motor mount bolts on my 1250 keep loosening and falling out. I went so far as to replace the oil pan, get new bolts, and use lock washers but I looked the other day and sure enough only one bolt was left and it was half way unscrewed!! I'm not sure if there is a high temp. threadlocker, but is t...

Extended Sleeve Hitch pin measurements?
I'm looking to put a longer sleeve hitch over my tiller gear box and realize I need a longer top pin for it to work. I know it's 1" round stock. Does anyone know the length, hole placements, etc so I can get one made up?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: 1200 iso mount upgrade
I changed to the solid mounts on my 1250 and like it. It doesn't seem to shake as bad as the old mounts. Also, the old mounting holes stripped out on the oil pan from the sag created by the old ISO mounts.

Re: RPMs increasing while idling on 1450
Thanks guys. I had forgotten that that the gov. shaft bolt had come loose on this tractor earlier this summer. I tried to reset and tighten it (not really sure how it should line up as you can't see the interior) and then reset the initial adjustment per the manual (6.29). We will see how that works...

RPMs increasing while idling on 1450
Anyone know why my K321AQS keeps increasing RPMs while it's just idling? It happens regardless of where the throttle is. I tried to adjust my carb settings but it doesn't seem to matter. Searching didn't reveal anything.

Re: Moog part # for Quietline engine mounts
We made out alright, Ken. It's better to be up high at the headwaters during an event like that. Driving down your way revealed a lot more damage. I know you are up on a hill and I hope your roads made it through okay.
Called my local NAPA dealer and they ordered the tie rod ends. Thanks.

Nah. You want to get rid of that disaster as soon as possible. Just say the word and I'll get the transportation network in motion to bring that POS up north.

Re: Trunion Repair
The trunion repair piece that xtreme sells is supposed to replace the worn piece. The idea is to cut the old one off at the point where it goes horizontal and then weld the new square into place. It's not a 'patch' according to Aaron.

Re: It's time to try the solid motor mounts on a QL.
I've been using the 1250 with the solid mounts for several weeks now and thought I would 'report back'. So far, so good. The tractor doesn't feel any more rough than it did and it doesn't feel any shakier than my 1450 with ISO mounts (no cradle upgrade). When I am at WOT it hums. No foot numbness, r...

Re: New sleeve hitch toolbar
It worked very well. I hilled after I tilled and it saved me hours of back-breaking, blister causing raking and hoeing. Especially because the ground is still really wet and heavy here in VT. I was able to create beds of various widths, up to 21" wide, which generally still covered my tire tracks. I...

New sleeve hitch toolbar
I bought a yoke from xtrememotorworks.com and had a friend weld some 2" tube on it. I'm waiting for some hilling discs and clamps to arrive. I'd also like to find a middlebuster to clamp to the center tube as I have a drainage furrow in my yard I'd like to clean up. http://i230.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Loader Bucket Upgrade..... Loaders is cool.
I thought street sign posts were 'breakaway' and would have torsional rigidity but would crack if used to lift as Scott is planning. Is this not correct? I scrapped an idea to make a sleeve hitch toolbar with perforated sign post due to that concern.

Re: It's time to try the solid motor mounts on a QL.
Does anyone have the eye-to-eye measurement for the oil pan bolts to do the cradle upgrade? I want to compare that side by side with the solid mounts.
