Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Good job. I'm glad you did that instead of selling them. 82 series with twins are smooth mowers. Now you can start collecting Commands for the next one. Mike :D Might have to take back what i said earlier in the year. I'm now sitting on a 22 command with 400 hours. Looking for a trwactor, i want hy...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Hi John, i have a mag 18 that would slightly overfill after setting. The oil was not gassey. After a couple oil changes and bypassing the pump i think it was the oil in the filter draining back into the case. I had a fuel shutoff before the pump. The pump looked new and worked great. It's still byp...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
IMG_0882.JPG The weekend finally came, after a tuff week at work, lol! Got the engine oil changed a while ago today. Added a fuel shut off valve before the mechanical pump, I'm guessing on a longer period of time before the crank case oil starts to creep up past the full mark on the dip stick. My t...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
New Update: First, how's everyone been? I've noticed that the oil level has been rising ever so slightly since the conversion was done, completed with a new engine oil change. Though, I did fill the crank case just above the full mark on the dip stick, now its quite past where I filled! Some smoke i...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Hi..are you referring to installing a cast iron rear end? I personally don't think I would go there but I only use my tractor for mowing. If your pulling heavy loads and feel your on the edge of destruction then that would be the next step. I think a more common problem with the aluminum rear is it...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Hello guys! Good afternoon! Is everyone enjoying the summer heat, lol? I have a question or two. On my 1211 that is now a 1711, I wanted to install the rear lift system to it, but noticed there are no inside bushings welded to the frame, common to the QL models. What would be the alternative to inst...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Sounds like a nice upgrade! Good job So far so good! Thanks! Seems like a simple task, but it was quite an accomplishment for me. For all the time I spent learning about the different makes and models of Cub Cadet, my younger brother was kind of surprised all the pieces fit together to come up with...

Re: CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
A few more things I've done with this conversion. Once I gutted the 1211 wiring system, I pressure washed the chassis really good. Prior, I had replaced the trans fluid and filter. I had an old starter solenoid off a model 72 IH CC in which I mounted in a similar location found on most QL models. Th...

CCC 1211 Conversion to 1711
Hey fellas! Wanted to mention that I converted my 1211 with Kohler Mag 12 into a 1711 using a great running Kohler KT 17 Series 2 engine. All I needed was an engine mount plate from a 1711 which I ordered off e bay for 14$ plus shipping. The Mag 12 incorporated a longer propeller shaft which I cut a...

1211 Charge Pump / Driveline Coupling
Hello! Happy Summer to you all! I've been working away on my scrap yard find model 1211 Cub Cadet! Long story short, I got the machine running, and it operates awesome! I then noticed a automatic relief valve leaking, and I replaced that. I got admit, I love how the rear fender pan separates from th...

Re: Who's ready for Winter?
Gosh, I hate to sound like a complainer. Over here at my house, I can honestly say I never pushed so much wet, heavy snow! We have been receiving a severe beating since about 3pm yesterday. Accumulation has to be near 15" at this point, as the snow continued to fall. Report on my model 72: Now I kno...

Re: Who's ready for Winter?
Boy, was that last snow fall a powerful one! I do not recall the last time the snow fell so wet and heavy, with amazing accumulation and wind force. I was at work last Thursday when it all began. I work a second shift, and during this time the storm was in full effect. Usually my commute is 25 minut...

Also, I have noted that an all-gear will start ALOT easier in the coldest of winter, than a cold hydro drive garden tractor. The mechanical energy transfer system trumps any substitute. { psssst,... hydros are awesome to operate too } That's a nice 108! It's my hope that you decide to hang on to the...

I have bran new 4-link v-bar tire chains on my model 72, over 23 x 10.5 x 12 rims with Goodyear Soft Trac turf tires. Inside the rear rims are a set of IH wheelweights, a 25# weight on the hitch, and a 12' 3/8ths log chain with chokers. I have no problem navigating through at least 8-10" of snow! IM...

Tom, guys, Hey thanks for the information! I printed out the chart, and added that to my ever growing tractor manual. I've reached the next thing to do, and that's to put some fittings in the rear lift, maybe in other places in the lift system as well.

Adding Grease Fittings
Good afternoon! In moving forward with my 1450 clean-up project, I would like to ask the group about adding grease fittings to the rear lift. I plan to add two fittings, and needed to know: 1. What size drill bit for what size grease fitting ? Also, since I'm into drilling, my other concern is the 1...

Re: 1450 Plow Blade Lift Anemic
Hello guys! I'm only posting to report that I have the very same problem with my 1450. Mine is a single stick lever. I watch the hydraulic travel with the frame cover off, and that looks like I have full travel, and full retract. I have no lock out pin. Same 2" blade lift from grade, so this must be...

That's a nice custom! I really like it Allen! I like the frame work to house the new and improved AQS engine. A nice set of shiny, red rear round fenders would really be something!
