Here is the pulley I put on a 44A deck.
I think the upper pulley is about 4-3/8" in outer diameter.

Spring has come to Kentucky
Friday March 9th, I mowed part of my yard. (my neighbor mowed on Tuesday....she always beats me). This is the earliest I've ever needed to start mowing. It used to be the first of April, then the last week in March. Last year I mowed on the 15th. Is this "global warming"? That being said, I love my ...

Re: NF Hydrualic Unit Restored
Very nice work.
That would look great mounted on a 122 that's been restored with the same workmanship.

Skype is also pretty good for "visiting" a new granddaughter that lives 3 hours away. My wife uses it through her cell phone to our daughter's cell phone.

Re: Mower deck and mule drive
Kelpie, On the "U" shaped bracket.....It looks like the hole is not worn too much, only the side of the bracket. I'd go to Tractor Supply and get a "machine washer" to slip on the shaft against the bracket and also replace the pin with a new cotter pin. On the deck end bracket, get some 11, 12 or 14...

Re: 1A Tiller
I've had a 1A tiller for 6 years and have only used the original lighter duty mule drive pulleys that came from the mower set up. I run it with a 129 or 149 (hydraulic lift is nice with a 149). I don't run with the main belt too tight and I usually don't run at very high rpm. I haven't had any probl...

Re: mulching blades for 1450,will they work?
I rebuilt a 44A deck with a new "speed up" center pulley and have been using Gator Blades for 4 summers. I've been very happy with this setup on a 149.

Re: 122 tiller
A model 1 would certainly work and probably a 1A as well. The model 1 was made from 1966 to 1971, the 1A from 1971 to 1974. If you find one of these, you'll need to check on the type of front hanger or mule drive arrangement it has. The tiller you find may be set up for an older or newer tractor tha...

Re: 129 Engine Repair Help Needed
Rick, I checked out the crack more closely, the spacer seems to be part of the block and is machined there. The crack looks to go only a little bit into the thick block area around the front bearing mount area. If I don't go back with any balance gears, I think it will be ok. On the crank gear teeth...

Re: 129 Engine Repair Help Needed
Rick, I've just taken a hammer and chisel to the piece that looks like a space. It doesn't move. It looks like a machined part of the block and so does the similar piece at the other shaft location. But the crack does stop there like it could be a spacer. The parts list and diagram for the kohler K3...

129 Engine Repair Help Needed
My 129.......So after new engine noises, I expected trouble. I shut it off, changed out the deck onto my 149 and parked it for several months. Last night I started into finding what was wrong. The first bad sign was it sounded like pebbles in the drain pan when draining the engine oil. Here’s what I...

There have been a few 148's around, (just a 1x8 with a 14 hp). I think the 142 that shows up every now and then is pretty cool.
