Heck...If i could drive the tractor out there with another one on the trailer. I'd do it. But i don't want to make the news. Besides i'd have to leave on a thurs to make sat mornin plowin. Yikes!

Thanks Mike, Sure sounds like fun.I am going to try to bring two tractors.One to plow with and one to disc with.AND!! i found a plow and disc last night.Both for 120.00. SO....The event has been pushed out a week? IT will be 25th and 26th? October? Never participated at a plow day event in the 20 + years playin with Cub Cadets. Actually i have had bottom plows for a few cubs over the years but never once used one. I think its time to go play with one. And wouldn't y...

Just thought about your question again.I also at one time pondered using non detergent.But when i read the lable on it it said nothing about ash content.And me trying to do things right decided not to go with it. I Just bit the bullet and bought 30w low ash right off the shelf at my local cub dealer...

Well, As i said,I am not a oil expert.But you asked a good question on the low ash requirement.All i do know is that is that ash tends to expedite deposits build up.Ya got my gears turnin and i think i will do a little web research on it as to exactly why low ash is specified for these engines accor...

For starters(pardon the pun) After you get it running.Throttle it up to full throttle.Then back out your high speed adjustment (on top of the carb vertical) until engine sputters and runs rich (black/dark smoke).Then turn screw in until it clears up and runs smooth.Then as i sometimes do i will go a...

UMM...Which Cub? I have 14 of them. Well...I just got done tearing apart a k301 out of a 1200 that i bought that just had the engine rebuilt.Real nice shape with sleeve hitch setup and deck.Paid $300.00 for it cuz the former owner was fed up with it after the govenor stopped working a few hours afte...
