Re: Why not one more?
I thought I read somewhere that all 149s came with hydralics and 169s were suppose to but they didn't have the stock so since the 149s were advertised as such they kept all the 149s loaded and sent most 169s out without hydralics? Fact Check me but I believe that was in a magazine .

I got a rough 147 for the same price 4 years ago and it is a bear. My wife says its hers. Funny how she adopts all the tractors with power.

Re: GTX2154LE
We got our 2542 in 06 for about $3400. with deck and bagger. It has been great but reverse is way to slow and forward is a little lacking at 5.8. In hindsight I would have gotten a 2544 due to the larger front wheels. I believe the 6" front wheels are dictated by the deck configuration only. It was ...

Thanks farmall, after being tortured by the 3 throttle and govener springs I stopped caring about torque specs. I have complete books on a 1402 and the 2203 but neither has torque specs. Go figure

Farmallgray, you wouldn't by chance have the torque spec for that timing cover in your head??? I am about to torque mine down and my book doesn't have the spec for the bolts. Kubota 2203E.

Old Cubs Big Time
I started a Job on a local private golf course this week (Monday) that I will be on for most or all of March. We are refreshing 56 sand traps and rebuilding three bunkers. Also we built three short rock retaining walls around some tees and greens already and have a handful of cart paths to repair. I...

Chad, I can't be a hypocrit, I have a 72 112 in mint condition. Its like the Green Queen around here cause it doesn't have a job. It just hangs around like a spoiled princess watching the Cubs and one of my Wheel horses drag firewood, Aerators, Salt and Sand, and all the other labor chores. But it i...

Re: Anyone own a Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon?
Chad, I don't know if the rest of the counrty noticed but Massachusetts elected one to the US Sentate. The joke was weather it was more believeable that a Republican won Ted Kennedys Seat or a GMC truck went 220,000 trouble free miles. (Attn. moderators, no political insults are intended or implied,...

Re: Plowing and Weather
Why, why, why, it goes from 50 to 15 overnight and now we have more snow and rain expected. It seems like frost and mud are all that my life is made of these days. We took a trip to TSC last night and got some goodies for the old ladies. I had to bring the Boss along to see if she would approve futu...

Re: Tire and Rims
Thank you Ray, I have been wondering about the rounding bulge problem that may occur. Maybe I should get the 8.5s and look for ANOTHER set of the wider rim for the 1o.5s??? Only 3 out of 9 tractors mow so multiple set ups are something I may be interested in. Don't worry, I have your web site handy!...

Go figure, tooth bucket and skid steer hack up 50yds of frost yesterday since its suppose to be cold today but nobody said anything about 55mph winds. Tire and Rims
This question I am sure has been asked a million times but I am just asking for you boys out in the farm country for your opinion anyhow. I got a spare set of rims off a parted cub 108 which are showing the same width as my 107,126,123 rims which all have 8.5 turfs. These rims are a touch narrower t...

Ben, I would never insult a mans intelligence and hint that he lost his plow in a snow storm, but with the winter many of us are haveing anything could happen. I hope your cub ate that snow right up and returned it to the ecosystem as yellow fluid, a little over 98 degrees

Re: Plowing and Weather
Sounds like what I have here Frank. If I can't get all the way through the ice after tommorows warm up I am putting the tooth bucket on the skid steer and letting it rip. I might kick myself in the spring but if I can kick myself it means I didn't break my neck.
