Re: 1772 vibration

Do you have a clutch in the drive shaft? Secondly if the drive shaft is not lined up properly I think that needs to be corrected first. My 1572 started to vibrate badly. My problem was the clutch and a worn charge pump shaft. I replaced drive shaft with a newer style u joint shaft and replaced charg...

Re: Whats a D640 Diesel from a 1782D worth?

I would not sell unless I gave full disclosure. With all the problems not worth much in my opinion. If it were me I would part it out. You would make more than selling whole. Some parts hard to find and valuable like the hood and fuel tank. Once all is sold go buy a nice diesel to replace it. They c...

Should it stay or should it go

I finally picked up an 1882 I bought a week or so ago. This thing is unbelievable it is the nicest original super I have come across, this makes # 28 for me. Can't decide what to do keep or sell. I am not a cyclops guy as a rule, I have had 5 2182s but sold them all. This thing looks like it was nev...

Super value

Here is the question. What model is the most valuable Super? I don't want to know The one you would pay the most for ( because it is your favorite ) but the one that is actually worth the most and why. I have owned and sold over 25 supers. The one that has brought the most money for me is the 2182. ...

Loaded for Bear

Since I got the 2072 I needed to find away to haul all for Supers at once. Old trialer held two and one in truck was good for 3 but not 4 so a new trailer was needed. Went out for maiden voyage today. All seems good I can even leave the plows on the two which will be much easier than before just dri...

It came with two hour meters one with 600 and some and a new one installed with under 50 The story is it was broke for one season then replaced. No real way to know but looking at everything 700 seems believable.

Grand slam of Supers

I finally completed my Grand slam of Supers. Just picked up a nice 2072 tonight. This completes the my grand slam 1572,1772,1872and 2072. Like most siblings they are very similar but very different. The 1572 is the worker of the bunch with a rear PTO and 3 pnt. This tractor is a beast ready for work...

Re: Tow hook on Super

As I said from the begining I did this because I thought it would look good not so much to use although it workrd grat at PA plow day as I pulled several stuck tractors with it. I agree about the corners and planed from the begining to round just have not had time. The real use I think is going to b...

Tow hook on Super

For some reason I always thought a Super would look better with a tow hook on the front. So as I was getting ready for plow day I decided to throw one together. I do think it makes the super look better but it also worked very well as I used it to pull a few out at plow day. What do ya think?

1572,1772 Temperature differance

Any ideas why my 1772 runs about 20 degrees cooler (130) than my 1572 (150). I checked the thermostats both are in and working. I used a laser thermometer and checked all around engine, Thermostat housing and radiator and all are about 20 degrees cooler. I also put a thermometer in radiater with sam...

Thought you might like to see the rest of the car. When I built it Back in 2000 It was the highest horsepower 4.6L 2 valve in the country. And yes that is a corvette in the garage in the background.

The resoration looks great. I could not resist getting in on this ford vs chevy. I can tell you that over the years this is the view that many, many camaros, corvettes and firebirds saw of this little mustang.

My 1772 has a tool box on the back. Whith the limited space what would you carry. I am thinking 3/4 wrench for 3pnt, 15/16 wrench for 3pnt plow. Extra hair pins and hitch pins. I would like to carry a hammer but any one that would fit is not really big enough to be of any help. Any ideas on what mig...
