Re: Not a cub, but a pretty cool tractor

AJGross, I have been a member one the Case Colt ingersoll forum for about a year now. They are very anal about what happens with the early rarer tractors like yours, it would be like me taking the serial #501 Original or finding a cubette, and hacking it up to make a puller. There are plenty of modi...

Re: Johnny Cash type of tractor.....

A member on another forum has been recording engine fin count and s/n of 169s and it is completely random on weather or not the tractor had a 12 or 13 fin engine.

Clutch disk

I remember seeing somewhere a clutch disk that had a large surface area for more grip but I can't find it, vogle has one with an increased surface area but the one I saw had a small hole just a little bigger than the driveshaft. Anyone else seen one?

JD 110 Trade for snow blower

I will give you this 1969 John Deere 110 for a snow blower to fit my Cub Cadet 122, or will do a partial trade for a nice snow/dirt blade. The 110 smokes a little on startup but goes away once warm, missing the front grill and side belt pully cover, has two new front tires (after pic was taken) all ...

Re: Frozen Engine

Yes the jd twin cylinders were notorious for freezing. The green magazine says the best way to get pistons out is to heat them up until they are cherry red then try to knock or press them out, this of course won't work with aluminum pistons. Several years ago while my grandfather was restoring a 51 ...

Re: NF gear drive 3pt lift installation--what's the trick?

I just put one on my 122 last week, I was able to fit my big hands in there to get the cotter pin in, but I just realized I put the end with the bushing to the front, so I guess when my new bushing arrives I will have to mess with the cotter pin two more times

I remember seeing that the wheel horses used ark loaders over at the red square forum. Not saying that it wouldn't fit a cub, I would check there first to make shire it doesn't fit one of them.

I just brought home a 81 case 444 that is in pretty nice original condition, this is my first running hydro l&g tractor, it is powered by a 14 horse kohler, but I have to say my 66 122 gd is still #1. Maybe we need to start a off topic tractor thread to post our none cc finds. http://i1110.photobuck...

My 1966 122 is by far my favorite above my original, and I would take both of my cubs over the stupid 1969 jd 110 I have (it's goin up for sale).
