The price has gone up since I bought one, but here's where I got my last tire:

It's free shipping if that helps.

Re: IH rock rake dimensions
Kevin, it's 42" wide. The main section consists of a 1" X 3" channel "nested" on a 1" X 4 1/4" angle. The rake teeth go over the 4 1/4" section of the angle and have a section that turns up against the 1" section. The channel sets on top and holds them down. The only "squirrely" part is the rear of ...

Here's a video of mine on my Model 70. I don't run the engine at full rpms and it has plenty of power.

Bryan, have you also graduated to a goose neck trailer? From what I can see in the picture, that's quite an upgrade from your other trailer.

On the negative side of the coil, the test light should be on with the points open and off when the points close. If the light stays on with the points closed, you're not getting continuity through the points. You need to do more work cleaning the points.

Re: NF Hydro pump acting oddly
Kenneth, there are no check valves in the system and only one O-ring in the valve body itself. http://www.cubcadetman.com/cc/how-tos/hydraulic-pumps/2013/01/working-on-narrow-frame-hydraulic-pumps/ I wonder if you don't have some dirt in the relief valve. It's located on the side of the body of the ...

David, yes the bed dumps, but it's manual. My wife and grandson have been using it to haul manure from the barn to the garden and have had no trouble emptying the bed. Obviously the video was shot before they started hauling manure!!!!!

Stretched Cub Cadet
Several years ago I built my wife a stretched Cub Cadet to use for gardening and yard work. She didn’t particularly care for the hydrostatic drive. And, because our place is pretty hilly, she really didn’t like parking it. She’d been after me to redo it as a gear drive for several years, and I final...

Thanks, Dave. I originally wrote if for myself and then decided to post it. I'm old enough that I sometimes forget the smaller details until it's too late. I still get in a hurry and forget to line up those slots for removing the set screws even after reading my reminder. It's too far from the compu...

Re: removal of old badly rusted set screws
Oh, and several organizations have done studies of the best penetrating oil. The unanimous opinion is that a 50/50 combination of acetone and automatic transmission fluid is the best and cheapest you can get. Of course it's very flammable and should be used with caution.

Re: removal of old badly rusted set screws
Andrew, the bottom of those set screws aren't that close to the crankshaft. You're more in danger of breaking the bit when you catch the side of the bearing. You can find the write up that I did on removing the PTO here: http://www.cubcadetman.com/cc/how-tos/2009/09/removing-the-front-pto-and-basket...

We located it in Ohio and had it shipped by Fastenal. I'm more impressed by Fastenal every time I use it.
Sorry, but the expression "saddle a dead horse" is completely foreign to me??? To me that would mean you're mounting something on something that's not going anywhere???

E-Z Rake Dethatcher
We’ve been looking for a front-mounted E-Z Rake Dethatcher for some time. We really wanted one that drives off the Cub Cadet’s front PTO, but this one will have to do until we can find a sale or trade for a front PTO model. There’s a video of it in use here: http://www.cubcadetman.com/cc/videos/sde-...

I spent the last two days at the Extravaganza. Because of recent hip surgery, I only took my wife's Tiger Cub Cadet. Tiger Cub Cadet.jpg They haven't made an official count, but someone estimated there were over 800 garden tractors there. Cub Cadets were well represented. I only took pictures of a f...

Bruce, try putting a block heater on the hydro rear end and warm it up before trying to start. It works for me. You should be able to pick up a block heater at any automotive or tractor implement supply.

Wow, you're paying a lot for that green paint. When my wife and I retired in 2007, we purchased a 1528 Massey (9 speed, 28 hp) with a belly mower. It's been a while and I'm more and more forgetful, but it seems to me that the base price was something like $10,000 less than what you're quoting. We we...

Thanks, Joe. My wife has been after me for years to make that for her. She taught at a high school that had a tiger as their mascot. The Wisconsin Historical Society was very helpful. Mike, according to the TC-113 manual, the key is 1/4 X 7/8. It doesn't list the size of the set screws. Hopefully someone else will know that.

Re: 125 Front Axle and PTO questions
Brian, #1 can be a real pain to get out. Yes, there is supposed to be a roll pin that holds it in place but it often gets sheared off and #1 is rusted into #2. I'd jack up the front end and rock the axle back and forth and see if #1 stays stationary or rocks with the axle (#2). If it stays stationar...
