Re: Inline heaters for diesels

I got my frost plug heater ( 400 watt) for D600 head at Kubota dealer a year ago, I think for $40 or less. It fits nicely behind fan bracket . Just taking time to pull grill, radiator, air cleaner assy. & brackets ,etc., but wasn't too bad over a couple sun shining afternoons with the shop overhead d...

Re: Inline heaters for diesels

With a couple days of 40*, time to install engine heater kit ( Kubota ) # 70000 73595 , it goes in head/ frost plug( D600 ) behind fan bracket assembly. Pulled radiator & grill to give easy access. May replace lower radiator hose (OEM $$) since I did upper hose couple years ago. Today must cutout ho...

Re: 59m shredder

That screen looks to be an after market or shop made one. When I bought my 59M in '70s I also purchased a bar screen along with the ( I think ) std. 1" screen. Wet/ green material will plug 1" screen in short order. I used bar screen most times or without one. Works good on material up to 1". Cub Ca...

Re: Diesel coolant hoses

Vince, when I replaced my Diesel's top hose, a few years ago, I wrapped it with pipe insulation (12" length of formed foam type) & used foil vent duct tape to hold in place. PWR :) ...... Oh yeah, I must have bought the last ones in country, they were pretty pricey$$$.

Time to pull Fuel tank, clean & flush, maybe fuel lines, filters, tank shutoffs/screens. You'd be surprised all the crud that can accumulate in there. :)

Re: critique my hold downs on my trailer & new ramps built

Ditto to what Frank posted! I drilled hole in each ramp & used .25" diameter bolt to hold in place on previously owned Kory 2 wheel trailer. I don't trust straps, just old school I guess.

Re: wider snow blade

When I bought my 1450 with 2 valve hyd, I traded for a 54" blade & Hyd. angle... Excellent snow mover , only improvement would be foot pedal Hydro. Use plenty weight ... :)

Re: 122 w/creeper gear & mulching leaves

Got back from Cabo Sunday nite, So Monday after noon, it was wet, but my Easy Vac & # 4 IH cart with my 882 w/50C did last run for leaves. This fall was first time with Gator Blades -- they worked great to help pulverize grass & leaves. Probably won't need to use Troy-Bilt chipper shredder to make c...
