Jim, Please include me as one more asking for a section for special requests. Other sites have it and with the "family" atmosphere we have here, I certainly would think Scott and others would think it a fine addition to the site. I don't post here very often but I check in all the time. Prayer cost ...

Scott....not at all.....I just should have known the answer...... and to be curt with Paul Bell, who I admire and respect second only to Jim Chabot, after thinking about it some more, I shouldn't have posted it. Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my "should have known that " question...it now makes very good sense. I've always used 30 wt. in everything Cub, but just forgot. Paul, You know I respect your opinion above most others so it would help me to know why you wouldn't use Mobil 1 in an older Kohler. I know it's only 5.00 for a qt.of 30 wt. but I had these sitting here.....I probably should know why using synthetic is not good, but I'm just not able to store and re...

Re: Cub 122 no start, no anything.
Sounds like a wiring problem....with the key on, check the voltage to the + side of the coil...s/b 12v...if not somewhere a wire is not letting current through.....you can run a jumper from the + side of the battery to the + side of the coil and see if it will turn over....hope this helps.....

Original Coupling Arm seal leak
The parts list has these as NLA....anyone tried a repair with something else. Its the seal from the drive coupler to the rag joint on a Cub Original.
Also, nice fresh leak from the carrier housing which I believe to be the O Ring inside. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Different size starter buttons for an Original
Just thought I'd ask if anyone had experienced the button size being different . The first one I removed shorted out and I thought I was in great shape by having another in some spare parts.....low and behold the button was a larger size than the hole drilled in the dash. Haven't figured out how to ...
