There are two things that I could think of... One: How smooth was the crankshaft journal? Did you use a micrometer to check out of round tolerance? Make sure there are no cracks or breaks in the axle. The spindle upgrade would probably be a plus also.

If you have a voltage tester, you should try to go through your electrical system to make sure that you have 12 volts going to the correct places. Yes, so Ive heard. Ive heard bits and peices of info throughout the years...but I was wondering if anyone out there is collecting serial #s for the popular Cub Cadets...like the 169's, Originals, 126's, 86's....etc. I think it would be a neat thing to get back going if there was a way to do it...
