Re: Forum Ownership up for grabs

To be honest, I've just always let it bill me and not worried about it.
Domain name is about $100 a year and the PHP4 support is something new but I'd say about $200.

I haven't been doing any of the work for a couple years. Dave C. was the man there.

Forum Ownership up for grabs

Long time folks. I am going to transfer ownership of the forum to any interested party. Contact me at oldihtractors@gmail.com It doesn't cost much to own the site. There is a PHP support invoice of $17.42 due the 15th. this would be a good time to transfer to a new owner. The only thing I ask is tha...

Our Friend Geezer

Folks, it's with a heavy heart I have to post this information. William "Geezer" DeTurck is not well. His wife Donna called and informed us that while he was having some medical issues addressed, a condition with his eye started and they found an inoperable tumor behind it. He is in his house on ho...

Selling the 140.
Good runbber, rebuilt mag, rebuilt steering box.
Comes with a full size snow plow and plows great!
Still 6V.
Runs good and pulls nice. I had used it to cut a few acres and it worked great, no mower though.

Re: End of an Era.

Tim, I've been using an EX3200 at our church for two seasons now and love it. CL300 loader, brush hog, finish mower and snow blade. That and where we bought it, Labuda's, made me buy the 221. Just having a loader with four wheel drive triples the amount of work it can do (especially going down hill)...

End of an Era.

The loader is gone to a new home. At least not the big dirt pile in the sky  That thing has had a lot of pictures posted of it that's for sure, almost as much as IT. Yep, I liked that old tractor but...... a new one sure is nice too. And, to keep on topic, I bought it from a Cub Cadet dealer ...

Our parts guys

I have purchased parts from all of our vendors at one time or another and I have to say it's always good. This time Mr. Patton (aka is there gas in this thing?) just went above and beyond. I ordered a spindle for my 50C deck and it came with the wrong shaft. Problem? No! Rich sent me a replacement ...

Woods L59 Mower

I have a nice Woods L59 from the Farmall 140 I bought.
Don't need it.
All parts from the PTO pulley to belts and chains.
I don't need it.
Will sell for $550 or trade for a complete three point, not a fast hitch.

Didn't hit nuthin' Geezer, looked funny trying to get it back to the house though  Update I got tired of fixing stacks since I always make them from an old muffler. And, the height of the tractor made the stack too high for a couple limbs I have. I bought a Walker muffler from Summit. 1 1/...

Re: 148 HE conversion

Hi-Crop
I welded another axle carrier under it, lost the tri-cycle parts.
Used a wide frame axle with narrow frame spindles to raise the front.
I also have a grader blade I built for it, it'll work on the hydro version too.

I got the deck leveled and running great! I ordered a replacement spindle I need on the outside from Mr. Patton. When it gets here I'll pull the deck, clean it up, sharpen and paint. Tacked 1/2" nuts to the frame to raise the fenders enough to clear the tires. I also did the same to the foot rests. IMG_0048.JPG After getting the hood and fenders on it looks pretty good. 148 HE conversion

Hey all! First post in a while. I've been so busy cubbin has taken a back seat lately. I have been wanting to convert the old 148 Hi Crop Extended to a hydro for some time now and figured if I commit to it when it's my only mowing machine, it might get done. I'been looking at the frame standing up ...

Tired of breaking Spiral Pins

My 149 has a habit of breaking the spiral pin on the driveshaft. I fixed the engine hub groove, helped a little but I get a month or two of use and it shears again. This time I had to get towed back to the house by a Toro! Never again. IMG_2373.JPG I took a spare hub and welded on a bar to bolt a r...

Re: Snow?

OK, I'm almost ready. Finally got some cubbin' done. I repaired the plow I made in haste for the super the year we had all the snow. It bent :o So I got about half a roll of wire in this one. It should hold up. I took two regular 42" blades and cut the ends off one of them to weld on the other. Aft...

Re: Therapy doesn't always involve a couch...

Paul,
You betcha! There are some areas I'll only approach one way.
To their credit, they have the right side wheel offset and weighted so it stays within the mower but ads a little leverage to the light side.
Plus, tires are filled.

Therapy doesn't always involve a couch...

Don't need a couch for a good therapy session. Pan seats are better  I mow the church with a 140. I'm buying it from them when they get something else that can mow out back. A 140 is not something you want people jumping on and using without a little experience, especially with the hills and ...

Ray, It was good to talk to you, been too long. I am going to swap the engine out of the loader. I bought it off Rich Patton in 2001 or maybe 2000. It was out of an old 122 and smoked then.
