You need a lot of extra weight to push a 54" blade. I have my 214# & 220 pounds of wheel weights on my 1450 dual stick and had a rough time pushing the 54" blade.

Engine cranks the same every time so I don't think it's a valve problem. The engine was rebuilt last fall. I'm leaning towards a new plug wire, then condenser and coil. I installed Chevy points about 1 month ago.

Replaced filter, NAPA Gold 1307. Cured the slowing up hill, but I still have the bucking in reverse.

I'll get a new filter and check all the linkage.

Some will say I'm full of it and some will say, been there-done that. I was figuring on removing the tiller from 1450#2 and putting the 44" deck from 1450#1 on it. I told the Lord I sure needed the tractor to run. He said "file the points". I did and bam, it fired right up and ran fine.

Tractor Supply has a good lawnmower oil. Run it with MMO in both 1450s.

I have installed a Gates 7530 belt on my 1A tiller to drive the tines. Seems to be getting the job done. $15.00.

Valves are not leaking.

She was running wy to lean. Adjusted carb and now she runs great. New problem, gotta replace the muffler box. Heat must have been too much for it.
