Thanks you Jlaws. Now I have an ending point to start with. I'll check the wiring harness this morning.

Re: Need info on a 582 sleeve hitch adapter plate

Yes, that's the plate, thank you. I have been told is fits the 582 special with the peerles rear, so I'm back to square one. It has bolt holes where I don't have bolts.

Need info on a 582 sleeve hitch adapter plate

I'm hoping someone has the Cub Cadet 380 Sleeve Hitch on their 582. I am in need of pictures of the adapter plate and also measurements so I can get Xtreme Motor Works to make one. https://www.partstree.com/parts/cub-cadet/accessories/380-190-380-100-cub-cadet-sleeve-hitch/sleeve-hitch/ Thanks for a...

#2b tiller on a CCC 582

I have a 1984 CCC 582 with creeper gear. I purchased it with the intent of mounting a QA-42A in the winter and a #2 tiller for spring and fall. I didn't do my homework before hand & found out I have an aluminum rear, (live & learn). Has anyone mounted a #2 tiller on this type tractor? Did a lot of w...

CCC 582 wiring question

I purchased a Yellow & white 582 with creeper yesterday. I assume due to the colors it's a CCC produced tractor. I have a red wire that's not connected to the solenoid. I found a diagram of the wiring harness on this site, but not sure which red wire I have that's disconnected. Anyone help me out so...

1450 has hydro issue

Hopefully someone can direct me what to look for and how to repair the ole gal. The last 3 weeks, it seemed the tractor was using more effort than usual to move. RPMs are 3600 by the tach. Yesterday, I was mowing and went to stop but the brakes didn't hold because the lever didn't return to neutral....

Re: Snow Blade Question

You need a lot of extra weight to push a 54" blade. I have my 214# & 220 pounds of wheel weights on my 1450 dual stick and had a rough time pushing the 54" blade.

Re: Hydro problem

Parked both 1450s side by side and started measuring linkage. I found the linkage on #1 was on the outside plate on the hydro, between the plate and the frame. the linkage on #2 was on the plate closest to the hydro. Changed the linkage and now I have better reverse. I think the friction needs to be...

Who do I call?

1450 #2 is setting me a fit. I can't get the hydro linkage adjusted correctly. It had major movement issues. I replaced the springs and pins in the trunnion along with both relief valves last night. Now I have forward movement as soon as the shifter is moved and she's fast in wide open forward, but ...

Re: Hydro problem

Mowed with this tractor yesterday. Started out ok, still had the movement of the shifter, 1" before forward movement and 1&1/4" before rearward movement. Sometimes just a small movement of the shifter resulted in slow movement of the tractor, then without moving the shifter, fast speed. As the mowin...

Re: Hydro problem

I got the shifter adjusted as close to neutral as I could. I jacked up both rear wheels. Tractor was warmed up and I adjusted neutral. With the tractor in forward and brakes applied, then released, the wheels stop turning. With the tractor in reverse, then the brakes applied and released, the wheels...

Re: Hydro problem

I pulled both 1450s side by side yesterday afternoon and jacked up on wheel on each. The shifter and linkage on both seem to be fine. everything moves together on both tractors. I did notice on #2 that when the wheels were turning under power, and the brakes applied, there is a noise in the hydro wi...

Re: 1450 #1 dies when running @ WOT

Engine cranks the same every time so I don't think it's a valve problem. The engine was rebuilt last fall. I'm leaning towards a new plug wire, then condenser and coil. I installed Chevy points about 1 month ago.

Re: Hydro problem

Trunion rectangle was good, I put in new springs and keepers last year. I also shimmed the plate that goes over the springs to get it centered over the springs. Not sure about how to adjust the linkage. Neutral position is good. Just repaired the trunion on 1450 #2, but had to use the old springs an...

1450 #1 dies when running @ WOT

I mowed about one hour today, the engine stumbled several times over several minutes. Then it died and wouldn't restart. After setting a few minutes, it restarted and died. Did this several times. I checked the fuel flow and it looked good. Let it cool about 15 minutes, and it started and ran for ab...

Hydro problem

I have a 1975-1450 w/ dual hydraulics. Last week while mowing, I noticed it was slowing down more than usual going up the 2 grades from my neighbor's yard to my yard. I also noticed the tractor was bucking, (almost stop, then resume speed), while backing down her driveway. Didn't really think much a...

Re: 1450 cranks but won't start.

Some will say I'm full of it and some will say, been there-done that. I was figuring on removing the tiller from 1450#2 and putting the 44" deck from 1450#1 on it. I told the Lord I sure needed the tractor to run. He said "file the points". I did and bam, it fired right up and ran fine.

1450 cranks but won't start.

I used this tractor every weekend to mow. Went out today & it cranked, but wouldn't start. I changed the coil, wire & condenser. The Chevy points look good. I also changed the voltage regulator. All parts came off my other 1450, (yes, it ran before I took the parts off). I only have 2-4 volts of cur...

1450 hydro woes.

Yesterday I finally got to use 1450 #2. I attempted to use the 1A tiller. I have no slow forward or reverse. Forward doesn't engage until the first mark on the dash panel. creeps a litle then fast. Reverse has to be moved 3/4 of the way down before it moves, then creep to fast. I changed the hydro f...

She was running wy to lean. Adjusted carb and now she runs great. New problem, gotta replace the muffler box. Heat must have been too much for it.
