Re: Roller Can Hook Up
Our new garbage company uses the same style of trashcans. I just drop the handle over the ball on my Jeeps trailer hitch & drag it down the driveway as fast as second gear will take me. I may or may not try to run the can through the mudpuddles.....

As I recall, the 42"mower deck that was on my old, departed 149 was a 42U model.

Cleaning out my garage.
Hi all! I've been really busy of late with other projects and haven't been active on here. I'm cleaning my garage of things that I no longer need & have posted them in the For Sale section. NOT getting out of Cubs, just making room to walk around in my garage. So, help a guy out! and get his wife of...

My Dad & I had a great time again this year. The weather made it even better! I had a chance to plow with Jess' 982 this year. It was fun! BTW Jess, I thought the hydro felt weak on the 982 & didn't want to chance overheating it or breaking your "photographer's" tractor. Thanks again for the opportu...

Toledo says mid 60's & sun. The rain ended lastnight for us. The fields should be in pretty good shape, I'd think.
We will be there with our grill & a sickle bar of a different color. Possibly for sale.....
We look forward to seeing you Jess!

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Wow! Ken was able to break one of the few things that hasn't been broken on my snowplow. The springloaded lock pin has been the weak point for my plow frame. I finally ended up putting a tractor drawbar pin in there. I tethered it with a loop of chain & a screw. The A frame got bent(twisted) pushing...

Re: Ohio plow day 2013
Jess, Thanks for the offer but the only yellow tractor that I'm bringing will be my 149 with the Haban sickle bar. Thinking of bringing my Dad's Whee Pony! with its sickle bar & maybe his restored unstyled L. We might even bring his Sears/David Bradley kids tractor that we brought before. I hope it ...

My Dad & I are planning to attend again this year. We may bring three ( or more) tractors this year. Alas none of them have plows on them. I think we're gonna bring our sickle bar arsenal.
The Coleman grille is all ready to attend too.
Looking forward to seeing everyone,
Darryl

149 voltage regulator questions....
I know that this topic has been touched upon many times. And I think my answer was on the old forum...... That said, I searched & didn't find the info I need. I want to replace the voltage regulator on my 149. The regulator that I removed has 4 terminals. Three on one side of the box, 1 terminal on ...

Re: 71 cub cadet 126
38" decks had the guage wheels mounted inboard. 42" deck guage wheels can be a tight fit, especially if you try to leave the tire chains on! They're close to the 10.50 tires normally, plenty of room with 8.50s. My first 149 (now deceased) had a 42" deck. That said, my 48" deck that I'm assuming came...

Tavernier Sales & Service is where my original 149 came from when new. They are still in business though I don't think they sell any new tractors anymore. They do sell parts & do service work. They are located about 7 miles from my house. Urban sprawl is threatening their location.....

Re: Garden Tractor batteries
I think you're right; the sitting is the worst thing for batteries(and fuel & brake systems & seals, etc). That said, I replaced the Interstate in my 149 last month with another one(SP40), since the last one went 6 1/2 years. This battery wasn't mounted down, which is supposed to shorten their life,...

Todd, You oughta try letting the air out first. It makes things much easier. I learned to put chains on our wreckers back when I was 14 doing it the way you do. (never fun putting them on when melting snow is dripping in your face)This takes a lot of the wrestling out of it. I still pull & straighte...

Re: Dose anyone ever change a flat tire?
Todd, Your G6 doesn't have metal valve stems? Seems odd. There are 3 styles: metal(aluminum) valve stems with the sensor mounted to it inside the wheel, rubber valve stems with the sensor held to the stem inside the wheel with a screw & a sensor that is glued & clamped with a stainless steel band to...
