Re: good pic today

Thanks guys!! The red rims are just the duals on the 782. Ive seen the IH 5288's with red dual rims and that was look I was going for. It has 2 inch steel dual wheel spacers that space tires apart.

good pic today

I got my red cubs out and got a pic of them in front of my sweetcorn field. My 1980 582, 1980 782 & 1984 982. All are restored but I still have to prime and paint mule drive and deck for 582 since I will mow with that one. The 782 in the pic does have the duals on.

I thought I would share some pics of my IH Cub Cadet 782 & CCC 982. These are my 2 favorite tractors out of the 5 cubs I have. I love the 82 series.

Re: Horse Trading

I vote Red! I like the way the 82 series looks with side panels all red with black decals. Plenty of power & a newer machine with all the older joys like manual tranny & manual lift. Id like to have a 582 to go with my 782 & 982.

All cleaned up 124 & tiller

I got my 124 put back together a couple days ago, finished priming & painting it all. The tractor has a complete tuneup with new fluids and it purrrs like a kitten. The 124 has hydraulics that work great. I also got my model 1 tiller primed, painted & put back together. It is mounted back on 124 & r...

New 124 & restored 982

I picked up this cub 124 a couple days ago. It is a 1 owner tractor that sat in barn unused for past year and half. The tractor is all original and all there. It needs a battery and carb cleaned or rebuilt. The previous owner installed hydraulics to raise and lower implements instead of manual lift....

Re: My 782 & new to me 982

I really like my 982 also. Power steering would be nice until there is a leak and for that reason mine is just fine. My 982 actually steers really easy also. I do use my steering brakes quite a bit for turning in around in worked ground. Just an all around good tractor.

Re: My 782 & new to me 982

An 1872 is an awfully good tractor to have. Does your 1872 have power steering? I really wish my 982 had power steering but it steers really easy for not having it. The onan engine is a good workhorse and mine runs good. I got a set of new brake pads and put them on the 982 and adjusted the brakes a...

Re: My 782 & new to me 982

I take it that you like the 982 probably as much as I do. Its a heck of a garden tractor. I got big plans for it. New paint & decals, wheel weights, front weight bracket & weights & 3 point hitch.

My 782 & new to me 982

I thought I would share some pics of my 782 that I use for tillage work, primarily moldboard plowing. I bought this 982 and it runs good but needs a paint job cause previous owner replaced fenders with ones off cub 2072. I put new ag tires on it and gave it complete tune up. I use it mainly to disc ...

Re: 3 of my tractors

I thought I would give an updated picture of my current tractors now. I sold my cub cadet 129 yesterday and I traded my cub cadet 1200 for a nice, good looking John Deere 300. The 300 is a 1977 model and everything works and it operates good. It came with a 48 inch deck (not pictured). It needs a se...

Re: From West Central Ohio.

Im just a hop, skip & a jump away, lol!! I like the 882 and the 582. I would like a diesel but seems I find somerhing else before I find a diesel. I like the 82 series the best but you cant beat any of the cubs in my opinion. I hope you can get a hold of that 2072 cause they are really nice machines...

Rolling baket harrow

I was curious if anyone has seen or made a rolling basket to pull behind a disc. I thought it would look pretty cool and make an awesome seed bed. I may be dreaming but that would be pretty cool. I might look into making something along those lines since I till a lot of ground for planting. Any thou...

Here is a pic of my 782 with 12 inch moldboard plow and my good friends 1811 with 10 inch brinly moldboard plow. We plowed around 4 to 5 acres this past fall. Dont mind green and yellow paint on 12 inch plow, thats how previous owner had it painted.

Got field cultivator ready

I got my field cultivator ready today. I found this Gilson cultivator at my uncles, it was sitting in weeds behind his garage. I took it and completely tore it apart and rebuilt it. I used it last year and it worked great, especially with field cultivator sweeps on. I put a drag or harrow behind it ...

Re: 3 of my tractors

Here is my 1979 cub cadet 1200. I traded my bolens 1054 with blade for this tractor. This tractor only has 459 hours on it. Long story short, the guy I traded his dad bought this tractor new in 1979 & used it to mow with until it started running rough. Instead of fixing it he parked it in barn for y...
