Re: mount rototiller on lawn mower
Nice Job. The tines need to go in reverse direction. With the tractor not having any weight the tiller will push the tractor in hard ground. Transmission on the Sears mower will probably not hold up to the tiller pushing the tractor. I have ran a Cub Cadet that had a 36 inch tiller and would push th...

Re: QA36A Chute Retaining Clips
They are not made any more. You can no longer get parts for the QA36A Blower. The part number you are needing is:
Cub Cadet 397040-R1
CLIP, RETAINER

Re: Installed Needle Bearing at Motor on 1512
Installing the U-Joint on the Motor helped with the Ball Joint Replacement. The Diesel motor shakes when it idles and that just beats the front Ball Bushing. The one at the Transmission lasts forever and the Rag-Joint at the transmission lasts a long time. I would have looked into changing the desig...

You can get them from Sweet Manufacturing. Part # 401-50808 and are $46.25 each. They work well.

Installed Needle Bearing at Motor on 1512
Installed a High Torque Needle Bearing U-Joint at the motor of my Cub Cadet 1512. Made a new driveshaft, front mounting plate, and steel fan for cooling the transmission. Runs really smooth at idle and full throttle. I had put a U-Joint on the motor about 5 years ago but it was not a Needle Bearing ...

Re: Diesel repower?
I have a 106 that I modified the frame and put a 12hp with large flywheel. I have 400# of wheel weights and bar tread tires on the rear. I made the Loader Bucket 38" and tractor does just fine. Really will amaze you how much work it will do. I built the loader at least 10 years ago. Still going stro...

Built Transmission Fan for 782d and 1512
The Cub Cadet Transmission fans are built really cheap and do not hold up. I was getting tired of replacing the fans yearly, so I made some blades this weekend for my 1512 and my 782d. I have also installed u-joints near the motor to do away with the rag joint that does not last long. The fans are t...

Homemade Transmission Fan for 782d and 1512
The plastic fans do not hold up for very long, so I decided to make some out of steel this weekend. Made one for my Cub Cadet 1512 and one for my 782d. Should end the problem with replacing the fan every year. Also I replaced the Rubber Rag joint by the motor with a U-Joint. So much better than befo...
