Rob - Not that my leash extends that far away from home, but I just want to give you a high five for setting up what looks to be a good time. I hope you get a good turnout. Tom
It's really not that bad. I did not remove the plastic dash, the biggest pain was the battery box. The bolts had all seen better days. They all got replaced. The 1864 has plenary of room behind the dash to work, that is so nice to actually see what your doing.

You will love the 1811 , I bought an 1812 3 years ago, its now my all time favorite cub. It steers so effortlessly and tight its almost like having power sterring. the hydro is also a step ahead of anything that I have ever owned. its infinite there is no jerkiness to it , very smooth I have a 50 c ...

sure , it also appears to me that my adjuster t-bolt might be a tad short as when the belt is correctly tightened the threaded rod is inside the adjuster cam ... oh well

the plate where the gearbox is mounted in tight and the castle nut with cotter pin is also there. it just seems that there is play on the adjuster t handle I have put a big cotter pin on that handle to prevent it from getting loose but it does not work the best.

Re: Cleaning up rusty tools, bolts, engine parts!
I have been looking for a low cost method of cleaning up rusty tools , parts etc around the shop . I was using Gunk carb cleaner in the gallon can but that is like $15.00 per gallon of solvent. and will take a week or more to work on rusty parts and pieces. Im gonna give the vinegar a test.
