Re: Toe in/out

I am wrong. The toe refers to front and back. I have a " vertical lean" to the front tires. Almost like a steering pivot is bad (bolt and spacer). Don't appear to be as I took it apart and check for play.one is about a 1.25 out at the bottom when a level touches the top. The other 1 in. Whats up?

Toe in/out

How is the way you guys set the proper angle for the front of a cub 1000? I was thinking set a level vertical, touch the top of the tire and measure the bottom to the spec. What do you all think.

Did not think it did under the spec sheet in the owners manual it did not list the 1000. I could be reading it wrong. I do that think alot, not understand or read WAY to much into it.

tranny lube

Looked everywhere in my manual for the lube to use on my 78 1000 cub. For the life of me I could not find it, any help, what should I use. The owner's manual just about the 1250 1450 and 1650 to use IH hydran fuild. I would think so type of gear lube in the transmission. What should I use thanks

Take the fenders off to get the shifter out and the weld was broke. Any thoughts on how to compress spring for disassembly? Think I'm going to make a tool for this or get crafty with it.

Why is it when I put my gear shift in the "1st" position it goes in 3rd. The "2nd and 3rd" position seam to be "2nd". Reverse is where it should be. Gear shifter is not that loose, I dont think that is but dont really I know.
