Re: Cub Flat Belt Pulley on Early Cub Cadet PTO

There is also 3 different pulley sizes offered by IH.....The smaller the pulley, the slower the speed but greater the power.....largest pulley will be a lot more belt speed with a little less power. Now I'm not sure what size pulley I'm running and I'm not sure if the largest pulley will fit the tra...

Re: Cub Flat Belt Pulley on Early Cub Cadet PTO

Nope.....just unbolt the flange on the back of the tractor, get some slightly longer 3/8" bolts, and bolt the gearbox right on!. Nothing else needed!. The cub cadets turn backwards too a regular tractor so the pulley will turn opposite, but other than that......they work great!. Also, they turn a lo...

Re-adjust the point.....start at .020 but leave the screw just a little loose....now then with the engine running, adjust the point by ear until the blubber goes away and you hear the engine smooth out!. Get it as good as you can and tighten the screw without moving anything!. Now run the engine wid...

Cleaning up rusty tools, bolts, engine parts!

Hey gang..... Been tinkering around with some new tools this winter and some of the tooling was rusty. So I decided there had too be a better way than wire wheeling, sanding, electrolysis, or buying de-rust which costs lots of money. I wanted something simple that would work on its own. My answer wa...
