Re: New plow mods

I am not going to get in a pee'in match with anyone over weigth on a GT plow. If you are happy with the job your plow does without weight, excellent. Fact of the matter is, some Brinly plows work better than others....adjust all you want and some still work better than others. Now, on adjustments......

Re: New plow mods

30# on any GT plow helps a bunch. There is aa big difference between a well tilled soft garden and field soil that has been run over with a combine, etc. Weight allows for a better looking furrow with less side slip and better rolling cutter penetration. We use to add weight to the back of our big p...

Re: Was good enough once

The hitch ball is a very big and unsightly way to accomplish the articulated joint, but it is "pre-made". Todd's suggestion of 3pt. hitch parts (available at Farm & Fleet and TSC) makes for a much closer scaled and authentic looking pivot joint.

Scott,

You should make it like Tony suggested in order to be safe, secure, and not damage the bucket.

Re: Trailers

Todd,

Note, the PJ U83 x 14 has a 4" channel frame back to the axles and can be had with 16" spacing on the cross members......this makes for a very stiff trailer, without overly excessive weight.

Re: Trailers

I absolutely LOVE my current trailer, a PJ 83”x18’ Utility with some nice options. The best part is that they make this trailer in a single axle 14’ long model with many of the same options. For your circumstances, an 83U x 14’ with a 2’ beaver tail, side ramps (side rails that double as ramps for t...
