Re: Hydraulic plow
It could also be done relatively easily with an electric hydraulic solenoid valve, like in the picture, teed into the supply and return lines. Would need a momentary on-off-on switch to operate it. You can locate the valve anywhere you want and make a very clean hidden installation or, if you're onl...

Re: Cub blower for the first time!
The only real issue I've had is that the belts can't handle the power when you hit really heavy snow, Been ey[e]ing a way to use the shaft drive from a 3000 series but it's not an easy conversion. I have had great success switching to a 5VX belt instead of a Kevlar belt like the Gates PoweRated. In...

Re: 451 snowblower extension kit for SGT
The 451 uses lift straps with multiple holes. You use a different hole depending on which model tractor you are mounting it to. The 450 blower had a different length strap for the GT and SGT. The 451 Owners Manual has all the information on the different configuration between the GT and SGT. It is a...

Re: 782 won't turn over
I mowed a little with it... So pto switch is good. I was composing a post to the same effect when JMotuzick beat me to it. The PTO working may not confirm a good PTO switch. There's a lot more going on inside the PTO switch, with the various safety circuits with separate contacts, so the PTO could ...

Re: MOMENTARY SWITCH WIRING FOR BLOWER ROTATOR...
If I'm understanding your schematic correctly, it looks like a dead short. All three terminals on the switch are +; in this case power-in, forward and reverse. You would not ground any of these terminals. Only grounds are at the motor (either through the case or a separate terminal from the two show...

Re: 451 on a 1772
I have converted a 451 for use on my small PTO, 1912, SGT with a pulley change on the blower and it works great. I have been using it for four seasons. In addition to changing the drive pulley you also need to move the idler pulleys in to maintain belt alignment. The original 451 drive pulley is 7 i...
