Re: 127 plastic gas tanks
Wow..yeah that is pricey...more than i paid for the tractor. It looks like someone used a cheap sealer on my tank and it is all flaking off on the inside. Going through filters pretty regular. Any tips on cleaning the tank?

Re: Mower deck not coming up to speed
Adjusted the tension on the mule drive unit for a new belt, replaced the deck belt and all is back to normal. Took me awhile to find the recommended tension. My deck also had the spring loaded tension pulley which was all good. The deck is back to sounding like a jet engine again. Thanks all.

Re: Mower deck not coming up to speed
Used the deck many times. It is a 42" rotary mower. Before you could really hear the deck coming up to speed, I can really hear the difference and looking down at the spindles it seems they are not moving very fast. I do not smell anything burning. I am not sure if the belt tension is set correctly,...

Mower deck not coming up to speed
I have a 127 with a 42" deck. The deck does not seem to be coming up to speed, replaced the drive belt from the PTO to the deck, all the pulleys are free and not binding, the PTO clutch seems fine. Out of ideas, I used it to snow blow and it worked fine. The motor is not bogging. Any other ideas?

Re: QA 36 blower speed up pulley
Yeah the blue skid shoes are a little weird but they do work good, 2nd season on them so far. My John Deere rear weights and prime painted rear rims add to the color scheme

Re: QA 36 blower speed up pulley
I found the cab a few years ago on craigslist. The picture makes it look a little better than it is, a few rips in the canvas, I replaced the front plexi-glass (what a bit## of a job). The frame that the plexi-glass fits into is in rough shape. Overall it was one of the more decent ones I came acros...

Re: QA 36 blower speed up pulley
Thanks all for the advice. We usually get decent snow in our area, usually wet and heavy. I think it was 3 years ago we got 21" in 2 days with thunder snow which was crazy. An average snowfall for us would be 4-6 inches at a time, wet snow. I think our annual average snowfall is something like 53 in...

I have a 127 where you need to press the brake to start the mower. The safety switch tends to freeze up or is just finicky. Any way to override this switch?

Thanks for the comments. I have a single stage on it now and it does work pretty well. Mounting a 2 stage has always been something I have wanted to try.

Finally found a cab for my 127. All ready for snow now. The cab was in just okay shape, has some tears in the back but will keep the snow off me.

127 cab
Been trying to find an original soft cab forever for a 127. The ones you do find are hashed and the decent ones people want a mint. Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket cabs or cabs from different brands working well or adapting it to a cub? Looking for soft sides and a hard top preferably.
