Re: Making holes in metal

Ken there is a lot of good advise here, just one more thing . Be sure to clamp things down or use a good vise on your drill press. A piece of steel with sharp edges sping at 500 RPM can ruin your day .

Repower 582

I am repowering a 582 with a 20hp comand . I have a motor plate out of a 1864-63 and a cast iron tranny . Dose anyone know what size the spacers are between the motor and the motor plate to line up with the tranny properly ? If I'm doing it I'm sure it has been done before . Thanks Bruce S.

Miller Tire Firestones

I'm thinking of buying a set of 10.50 firestones from Miller Tire . Dose any one have pictures of them mounted on their tractors ? What are the pros and cons on them? Thanks Bruce S.

Re: Plow tractor motor

Todd I have thought about a geo engine . I could use a belt driven governor off of a combine . I'm not sure what I would do for the fuel injection.

Plow tractor motor

I maybe opening a can of worms here but , I 'm building a cub with mainly ground engaging implaments in mind . It will be some thing like a superGT with hydro lift an manual tranny . My question is , do I want to use a 20H.P. comand or a 20H.P. mag for a motor ? Thanks in advance Bruce S.
