Value of Cub Cadet 882 diesel hydro

There is a Cub Cadet 882 diesel hydrostatic with a 50 inch mower coming up at auction saturday and wonder what is a reasonable price? There was no mention of running condition but the picture had exhaust pointing up instead of forward , body looked Good. Thanks Jim

Was truf trac made by MTD

I saw a Truf Trac 18 HP at an auction near by and was wondering if anyone had any information on it. I found a reference that it was made by MTD and wondered if it was made like the Cub Cadet, was interested in it because it had a 3 point hitch on it.

Re: Modified blade to fit on 1541

That is just a blade extension so when it is angled it still plows 4 feet. I loaded the tires and have chains for the tires. Working on a brace to go to the crossbar under the tractor. I once made a pair of weights by taking tire off rim and spraying it down with pams and filled it with melted lead[...

I can not find the mark on the crankshaft that you line up with the mark on the camshaft on the M 18 s motor, the picture in the online service manual is difficult to make out where the mark is located Thanks Jim

Re: Kohler M 18 S motor governer replacement

The Cub has 920 hours on it and I do not know exactly when the governor fell out into the motor. Got it cleaned up and waiting for the part. What is the best sealer to use on the motor crankcase?

Kohler M18S motor question

When I removed the motor from a 1541 tractor I found an open hole in the side of the governor housing and wonder what was in this hole? When oil is added some oil will run out of this hole, was there a plastic cap in it or what? Thanks Jim

Tried to pull the cub outside ad the wheels were sliding. While degreasing and pressure washing it something poped and the frame rolled down the slight incline on the ramp into the building. Something released on the braking system.

Re: Got the old 1541 home

Will look for the Valspar paint. I pressure wash and prime and paint the deck on my old Toro HMR 1600 every year{sometimes twice] and the 26 year old deck is still in good shape , no holes rusted through like many . The old Toro was a semi commercial type mower so it had a heavier deck and grease fi...

Re: Got the old 1541 home

Got the deck cleaned up and found a crack on right rear wheelbrace where it is welded to deck, cut out a small metal repair strap and welded it on. Primed deck with grey rustolium. Got motor out too, I see why you need to pull motor because it is the only way to get at all the small bolts on metal a...
