Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
And the grand total is DSCN1947.JPG This is more than the entire Winter produced. Funny how it stayed at 11 1/2 yesterday for the longest time while actively snowing, it must have been packing down. The resort close by us reported 27 inches but they do have quite a bit more elevation going on. I'm ...

Re: HF Parts Washer
Let's just go back to "pasteurized oil", that was fabulous! Dave would definitely buy some! I wish mine needed less work... I went for about two years where everything was fine, but have been into a run of repairs lately. And there are cars and other equipment to work on to... Guys, I know it's a b...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Well I was all set to post pictures of the storms here... BUT at the moment the ground isn't frozen and the only snow we got didn't even need to be shoveled !!! I feel sorry for the folks who want to ride snowmobiles, you need to go for a long drive to find enough to even unload a machine. I was ...

Hey kids, I found one on parts tree. Thanks for your kind thoughts... One of the mule drive pulleys on my 782 puked its bearing today. Local small engine dealer says its on back order. Does anyone out there have one close to the Salisbury, Maryland area? I've looked and cant find a part# or ...

BM - D2 seems like a pretty stand up guy, and you compare him to Dag? Harsh!! Hey, D2, next time try https://www.messicks.com/ They've an easy to use look-up similar to PartsTree, but usually better prices and reasonable shipping. I've actually driven up there for parts once, but shippin...

Re: 782 Choke Knob & Cable Problem
Wow, am I late to the party! Rich, have you wiggled the PTO switch while turning the engine over? I have had to do that on occasion. First thing, I'd find a known good ignition switch identical to the one you originally replaced. That way it is back to where you started. I agree with whoever said it...

Re: Plotting my own demise.
I took care of mine a few years ago. Direct cremation with no viewing or any trimmings. Only family that would show would be my wife and her brother and maybe his kids (who basically ignore me now unless they need something) so why bother with the show. I wanted them to dispose of the ashes as well...

Re: New Project
Hi folks! Been awhile since I last posted and a lot has happened. I won't bore you with all of the details, but in the fall I sold my beloved 123 to be able to go electric; Elec-Trak to be specific. It was a really tough decision, but I am now restoring a 1971 General Electric E-12S. Hopefully it w...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
I tried something with my QA42 on my 147. I block off the grill so none of the hot air from the motor comes out and blows on the discharge chute. It seems to help as I don't have near as many clogs with wet snow. I always sprayed my chute with silicone spray in wet heavy snow conditions. It helped ...

Hi Guys! No immediate progress since I got back from my run to Lubbock, I'm busy getting caught up for winter... but soon. I think it's just you and Joe, Dave... Btw, Joe- is it passenger & freight elevators, or grain elevators? (I used to work for Mongomery... then Montgomery-KONE... a long time ago...) Grain elevators are so much fun... Changing drive belts in a thunderstorm really shows your insanity. I also learned...

Wow! Three Daves and a Joe! how'd THAT happen? Master? Not even close... I could be considerably more meticulous about this stuff, but the result would not be significantly better in any functional way. If I were to do it again, I would likely not do SOME things different, but I MIGHT do it f...
