I'm glad we canceled when we did. We got another dumping rain last night. Wouldn't be getting around the field very well.

Re: Erie MI, July 19th and 20th 2013 plow day
Unfortunately, with all of the rain we've had lately, the plow field is too wet to get in to. We just had and inch yesterday. My brother said the combine was leaving ruts in the field, and a pickup truck with a trailer attached will only be worse. So rather than tear up the field, and our vehicles, ...

Re: Erie MI, July 19th and 20th 2013 plow day
Well it looks promising so far. They cut the wheat on Friday and Saturday. I don't know how badly rutted the field is. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Hope for no rain this week and we may be good to go. We will call it by Wednesday. If it looks to be too wet to plow, you will know well in advance,...

Re: Erie MI, July 19th and 20th 2013 plow day
I spoke with my Dad today about the plow day. He hoped to cut the wheat on Saturday or Monday depending on the moisture. He isn't too sure the plow day is going to happen. We will know more once they cut the wheat, and try to bale it. We've have 10 inches of rain in the past month, so the field is s...

Erie MI, July 19th and 20th 2013 plow day
A friend and I are hosting a plow day this summer at one of my parents farms. It will be in Erie Michigan, on July, 19, from 5pm to 8:30pm, and 20th, from 8 am to 4 pm. We'll have a over 50 acres to turn. It will be wheat stubble that will be bailed, or chopped before we plow it. The field is about ...

Re: Could a 12hp 2 cyl Kubota diesel be stuffed in a model 7
My guess would be yes... I have a 2 cyl Kubota in the shop that I'm going to mount in a narrow frame and make an Oliver orchard model with. I have the radiator figured out from the two other diesels I've done. The radiators I used in those tractors will fit inside a narrow frame with the lower hood....

Jess, I used standard 1/4" hydrolic hose. I took the engine and filter to the hose place, and had them made to fit.

Re: New Little 1568...
Thanks Paul. This one was a lot of fun. I just got off the phone with the new owner, he was very happy with it. The only thing left of the 1811 is the drive line, steering column and pedestal, and the tunnel cover over the drive shaft.

Little 1566 "Pro Stock" Tractor miniature...
Hello all, I'm finally posting some picts of the latest and greatest "little tractor" to come out of my shop. It started out as a Cub Cadet 782D which is a "standard" sized garden tractor with a 3 cylinder Kubota diesel from the factory. I'm sure the Cub Cadet purist may be upset with me that I cut ...

Latest "Little Tractors"
Hi all, I thought there may be a few people interested in my latest projects. The 2 smaller machines are Cub Cadet conversions. IMG_8417.jpg IMG_8418.jpg The AWD model is a Japanese 4x4 with a diesel in it. The 4x4 is a real fun tractor to take to shows. I have a set of duals coming on Wednesday for...

Yes, I've had problems with the relief valves too. There is a guy in Ohio that offers to rebuild your valves for $35 each on Ebay. I now pull the valves and have him rebuild them all.

Re: Priming a hydro pump...
Thanks Kevin. Last summer I delivered 2 tractors to Red Power. I finished them both with 2 days to spare. On my initial "test run" the 1206 I built leaked... um... um... what now. I bought a used pump off x-bay, and hoped for the best. I pulled the rear end, and swapped the pump the day I had to loa...

Priming a hydro pump...
Hello everyone, I put new seals in two hydro pumps, put everything back together, and the first trans worked like a charm... The second... not so much. Are there any tricks in priming a pump? How long can I run it with out damaging it with out it working? The first hydro I made into a "little" tract...

Jim, thanks. I hope to not hire any one, I'm starting to send some things out. The fiberglass battery covers... some of the machining and "pretty" welding (I didn't make the swinging drawbar, new exhaust manifold, nor the fenders on this machine)... but I enjoy the rest of the work, and I know what ...

Re: New "Little Tractor" IH 1206 Wheatland Diesel...
Thanks everyone, this is a White Fieldboss 16. This photo is actually a 4x4, and will soon be in the barn. It'll become a 1206 row crop with duals... The same guy will have both machines. He wants to get a tow behind mower, and asked if I could make a 2 or 3 bottom tow behind plow... of course I can...

New "Little Tractor" IH 1206 Wheatland Diesel...
This one didn't start out as a Cub Cadet, but I thought everyone here may like it... It was a mid '80's White Fieldboss 16. It's a 16 horse, 3 cylinder diesel, and it is a hoot to drive!

Sorry it took so long to post this. I've been working on the Wheatland a lot, I want to have it done by the end of the month. The dash is made of the same material as the fenders. Re: New "Little" IH 1066
Thanks, I start with 3.5" x 1/2" and cut the shapes out of it. I can't remember off hand what they are, roughly 1/2 scale to the real one. I measured my Dad's 186 HYDRO which has the same nose as the '66 series. You are correct the lower section is 2" x 1/2". It probably weighs about as much as the ...

New "Little" IH 1066
Hi all, it' been 5 weeks in the process, but here's the newest "little" tractor. This makes 10 so far, and there aren't any duplicates yet... This tractor is based on a late '60's Cub Cadet 124. The whole front end is steel, the side hood panels are aluminum with a steel panel in the center. Take a ...
