Re: Cub Cadet Original with Danco Loader
That is gonna be a very nice piece of machinery once it's completed. Good luck and have lots of patience. What year of tractor? It is an Original. Thank you MamaCat, but the Original's were built from '60 to '63. I've not owned an Original, unless maybe serial # break-down as to build year. I'm a n...

Polarizing Gen/Regulator to Battery Needed ??
When I got my 102 running I didn't do a polarization of the system. Did I do anything bad when I changed out battery for a fresh, good one? I've seen reports that it wasn't necessary on Cub Cadets(an archived Cub site from 2009). I'm guessing this is for only the battery excited systems and not for ...

Re: Cub Cadet Original with Danco Loader
If you can find original Danco Decal pictures, many times a graphics shop can make new decals that can match. I've needed to go this route for NLA graphics for RV's or doing custom graphics for vehicles. Some graphics a person has to layer one graphic over another to make the singular piece, but it ...

Re: A Few Pics Of My '67 102
Haven't really decided about how to use tractor. Thought about using on back property w/4x8 trailer to haul wood and possibly in local antique tractor/mower parades. You just don't see these out in public anymore. Definitely gonna be used around yard. I'll clean up deck, do some repairs, but set it ...

A Few Pics Of My '67 102
Here's some pics of my free 102 I got from my Mom. It now runs good, but still need to get new front wheels/tires. I removed deck to better work on machine.

Got my '67 102 Engine Running
Changed points, plug, condenser, repaired a couple wire connectors, tested coil, fresh gas, oil change, new aftermarket carburetor(size 26), air filter, fuel filter, fuel line and installed couple new gaskets that were missing or needed when installing the new carb. Hooked up battery I had in anothe...

Re: Pictures needed of Choke/Throttle Routing Attachments on
Thank you so much Ken. Just what I needed. The cable block mounts were incorrectly orientated with each other. I received the new carb today, I'll now be able to correctly mount things up the way factory had them. I just knew that the choke valve actuation arm was incorrect on the original ca...

Pictures needed of Choke/Throttle Routing Attachments on 102
Hey fellas. I recently got for free a '67 102 and am now doing work to get motor to run. I don't think there's ever been any serious maintenance or rebuild of parts on this tractor, but at least it's complete. What I've run into is the choke pull didn't work well and I dug deeper into why, is when I...

Re: A New Guy from Missouri with an old Cub Cadet 102
Thanks Dave, I don't use multi-grade oils in flat tappet engines. I use Rotella Diesel 30wt in my older mowers as it has the zinc to keep from galling the metals.
Your right, I need to get some pics of the old gal. Can this sight retrieve pics from my PC or does it need to be from a outside host?

A New Guy from Missouri with an old Cub Cadet 102
Howdy fellas. Stopping in to gather lots of info on my first Cub Cadet. She's a model 102 without crawler gear and has no lights. Don't know what year yet as I've honestly not checked by using the ID tag. Maybe someone with more experience on these models can determine just by the little info I've g...
