Paul, I was talking about the battery box, my 1962 has the smaller one and my Dads 1963 has the larger one, just like the one that is on EBAY right now and it is a good picture of the larger box. Question, on the original cub cadet dash towers why are some battery holders bigger than others, I have two, one for the small battery and one that will take a full size battery, there is one on on ebay right now with the larger one. I got the seals from Scott Madson, I only had to install the front one, no leaks and the creeper gear is working fine.

I found my clearance problem, when I removed the lift arm one of the support arm brackets came off, I just stuuck it back on, I didn't know there was a difference, turn it around and I have all kind of clearance. You live and learn.

wdeturck I have my creeper gear shaft installed, one thing I see there in not much clearance between the lift arm shaft and the two machine bolts on the end of the driveshaft, did IH have a special machine bolts for this. Wdeturch, I pre. fitted everything this morning, to make sure it was right, took it back apart and pre. loaded the spring tension and set the roll pin, cleaned it off and some masking and painted it, will put it in the tractor next week. wdeturck, Thanks for the information, I have a spare drive shaft for the ones that do not have a creeper gear. I took it apart yesterday, going to clean it up and check the spacing of the hole. I have a Drake arbor press and made it easy to take it apart, hope you have a good day. Martin

Original Cub Cadet
I took a Danco UD-6 creeper gear and drive shaft out of a 1961 Original Cub Cadet and put it in a 1963 Original Cub Cadet and the Clutch pully does not line up, it is off by 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch. The drive shaft fits good in the end of the creeper gear that part is ok, any help would be appreciated....

Danco UD-6 creeper gear
On the Original Cub Cadets that had the Danco UD-6 creeper gear, the output shaft of the transmission has a 1/4" hole for the harden roll pin, but the input shaft on the creeper gear has two slots and they are 3/16". Did they make a special pin for this ?? Thanks, Martin

I can not fine nothing of the web about a Danco company that made a creeper gear, I did fine out that some of Danco items was made by the Danuser Machine Works , but not the Danco Creeper gear that is why I ask the question. Thanks, Martin
