147 Drive Shaft Part Identification
I got a sweet 147 from my father-in-law and I'm trying to get it back in good working order. I found that the coupling attached to the shaft coming out of the hydrostatic transmission is attached to some drive shaft parts that I can't identify. I've been poring over the manuals (owner's and service)...

He's been using it and refining it for years. I'm sure it works great, as does everything this guy builds.chzuck wrote:Yea, I agree with Joe, quite the craftsmanship in that machine, the cab and the chute heater system. Keep us updated on how well it works.

Re: Custom Heated Cab and Snow Blower on a 124
Interesting theory concerning piping the exhaust. I always thought heat from the engine through the grill caused the problem. In the winter I block off the grill so the engine air must exit the sides. I only did that last year and we only had one snow where I could use the blower. So I am still in ...

Re: Catching the Cub Bug
Here's that father/son drive by I referred to in the original post. 1kxf269gHvM Joe's booth is at the top of the rise...right under the arrow on the YouTube thumbnail. He was showing a brush hog attachment that looked useful for me to clear the meadow on the hilltop behind my barn. When he told me i...

Custom Heated Cab and Snow Blower on a 124
I was talking with Freddie, the retired foreman from my father-in-law's factory the other day. He's a cheerful fellow from Portugal with a heavy accent and a twinkle in his eye whom everyone respects for his mechanical genius. He retired in February after 50 years at the shop but still shows up most...

Catching the Cub Bug
This is my first post to the forum. I got infected by the Cub bug when my father-in-law gave me his old 71. That was back in the eighties. I used it to mow the lawn for a few years then let in languish behind the barn when I was given an newer lawn tractor. After going through a couple of new tracto...
