Just got a 102!
I just got a 102 out of a barn. It had been there for years as it was covered in dust and dirt. I got a snow plow with it and it has the 3 point on the back. I know they made a lot of them but how rare are they today? Also it has no serial tag. Is there any way to determine the year?

Just got a 126
I just traded my Craftsmen GT5000 for a well used 126. It looks a bit funky right now. A previous owner had decorated it with decals, smiley faces and all sorts of bolt on things that I will remove and weld up the holes left over. It runs fine but needs a wiring harness(that I got from Mike LaMar(ru...

Re: Snow blade on 1440.
Thanks. It was pretty easy overall. The blade/frame went right on just as it would have on a 1200 or 1250. The bracket was just cut drilled and welded to the existing handle once it was removed and cleaned for welding. I jammed a big screw driver in to hold the return spring from going back too far....

Snow blade on 1440.
I got my 1440 running. Thanks to everyone that had input. I mounted a snow blade from a 1200 type tractor on my 1440. The 1440 is supposed to be about 100 pounds heavier. It mounted right on in the same place as it did on the 1200. The only thing I had to do was weld a tab on the lift laver. I used ...

Re: 1993 1440 won't crank
I finally got my 1440 running. It was a seat switch that was shorted. Today I mounted a snow blade on it from a 1200 style tractor. It went right on. To lift it I did make a bracket and weld it to the lift handle from 3/8 thick steel. The rod from the handle to the blade is the same one I made for t...

Re: 1993 1440 won't crank
I checked ALL the safety switches and they all checked OK. I checked the ignition switch and it was good as well as the PTO switch. I finally took the cowards way out and ran a jumper from the red and black wire on the switch to the solenoid switch terminal. I know this bypasses the safety switches ...

Re: 1993 1440 won't crank
I have unplugged that 8 pin plug and it looks OK. No hot spots and such. What is the remedy if that is bad. There is also a diode connected to that plug. What is that for?

Re: 1993 1440 won't crank
I will try that. It IS so packed in there it may have shorted across and be feeding power to a wrong wire. Thanks.

1993 1440 won't crank
I was driving my 1440 one day. I parked it and shut it off. The next morning I went to start it and the disengage PTO light came on. I replaced the PTO switchwith a brand new one and checked the PTO kicking on and off with the switch. ANy ideas to share? I am stumped.
