I'm in Olympia, but the 1650 is going over to my property in the Blues. Yeah, lot of smoke up your way. Hope they get it controlled.cwcub wrote:I see your a fellow Washingtonian. I’m in the smokey okanogan

Re: 1650 Mower Deck Change Over
I have a 1450 with deck, tiller, and blade. Switching from deck to tiller you drop the deck and the deck hanger. The tiller requires a different mule drive that aims the belt straight back to the tiller rather than offset to the side for the mower. You also must have a gear box for the tiller and r...

1650 Mower Deck Change Over
Not knowing the answer, I wonder if someone could clarify something. I'm assuming that when you run a tiller of the back of a 1650, you drop the mower deck if it has one....correct? If so is it fairly easy to change implements on a 1650. Thinking of adding a blade and tiller. Already have 44" mowing...

1650 Tire Question
Going to replace all four tires on the 1650. My property does have some areas with slopes and atv trails. Want to put ag type lug tires on the rear in stock size 23x10.50-12. However when replacing the front should I also go to a stock sized 16x6.50-8 ag lug type tire or a more typical turf type? Pl...

Re: Tiller and Plow Blade
Yes that's the gearbox and looks correct. The blade looks right too but from the looks of the rear lift on that tractor with gearbox it's on a narrow frame. Might ask him what it came off of. At 350 you can't go wrong. The long belt to the front pto is kind of pricey but I've used a $15 aftermarket...

Re: Tiller and Plow Blade
Assuming this is what a right angle gearbox looks like...……..
Seller wants $350 for everything, the tiller, gearbox and blade. Seems like a fair price. Probably can have a tiller shield fabricated to complete it if necessary.

Re: Tiller and Plow Blade
The tiller is a 2. There's a serial tag on the left of the tiller that will have it on there. You need the right angle gearbox to use it and the only difference in model 2 tillers is the size of the pulley on that gearbox. I think the 2B tiller had a bigger pulley for the x82 series bigger belt wid...

Re: Tiller and Plow Blade
After doing some looking, it appears to be a #2 tiller minus the shield.

Tiller and Plow Blade
Can someone tell me if this is a #1 or #2 tiller. Also see photo of blade. Are these period correct attachments for a 1977 1650?
Thanks
Thanks

Correct Tiller for Model 1650
Looking to pick up a tiller eventually for my 1977 IH Cub 1650. Appears that a 38" #2 tiller is what was offered in the 1977 catalog. Is that the correct tiller for the model 1650?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Cub Cadet 44A Mower Question
Recently purchased a 1977 1650 with a 44A mower. Question is most of then 44A mowers I see do not have the front wheels. Mine however does have front wheels on it. Was this an option or did IH offer a kit to accept front wheels like those on the 44C' decks I believe? Assuming it made a difference mo...

Re: Couple 1650 Questions
Interesting hour meter on these old tractors. Blowing up the 1650's hour meter picture on my phone and knowing now how to read the meter, it appears the yellow needle is pointing to 300 hrs. Whether it is the first 300 is unknown, but at least it feels good....lol. The person II bought it from says ...

Couple 1650 Questions
Just joined the forum as I recently purchased a fully functional 1977 1650 that I want to use and restore. Assuming by the first two digits on the mower that it is a 44' cut.....correct? Other question is looking at the hour meter it appears from what I can tell it has approximately 700 hours on it?...

Hello From Washington State
Just picked up a 1650 that is fully operational, but needs some restoration. Been reading about the surprisingly few things that usually need replacement or modification. It obviously does need a new seat. Any recommendation as to specific seat to use for replacement? I have some acreage in eastern ...
