thanks, ill check that first, i was thinking that if the ring gear had issues both wheels would be locked, ive never messed with trannies or differentials before, but that sure would be the cheapest problem i could hope for and i guess one way or the ther i'm going to lose my virginity..

no idea about the baffle though i've heard of people making their own out of strap steel. as fo noise, mines no more noise than the newer 38"mtd's in fact it may be a bit quieter. yours probably needs new bearings, maybe a new idler pully assy, and/or the blades balanced. as for bearings yours may b...
