What do you guys find to be the most common cause of oil smoke? I do not have it on steady run, but get a puff on acceleration and quite a bit on deceleration of the engine. According to Monthly serial number charts I have seen, It looks like an early May 1964 build

Ken was correct, I cleaned the area around the serial with MEK and found a poorly stamped "8" in front of the other numbers, Hooray!
