The fuel tank is actually under the fenders. I got the idea from a 1541? gasser that I used the fenders from. The battery is under the hood where the gas tank was originally on the 169. The radiator is from the Kubota and is mounted in the front grill with electric cooling fan.

Kub Kadet 169 Diesel in progress...
This is my ongoing project...it has been ongoing over the last 14 years. It is a 169 frame with a Kubota Z482 2 cyl diesel.
I have since put ag tires on the rear, added Brinley lift, and put a different exhaust pipe on it (the one in picture was borrowed from my B7100)

Found a replacement battery for Cub Cadet Diesel (782D, 882, 1572, 1772)
I bought a new battery on Amazon -- it was for a motorcycle. It is the same size as a lawnmower battery, but it has 600+ CCA and starts the diesel in a couple of cranks. It seems like it is expensive at $150.00 but when I installed it, the tractor fired right up after 30 secs of GP. it makes it well...
