Re: New Project

The batteries losing that much water in our climate makes me suspect the charger is over charging, so I'd give that a looks-see.
Cheers!

Re: New Project

Hey thanks guys! Tom, that dash fascia is an NOS part that I found, along with the steering wheel centre cap I've got some things in the works that I will post when they are finished.  In the meantime, I built a rear implement lift primarily out of some CC parts I had, and a generic winch. GE...

Re: New Project

Hi folks, It's been awhile, but my Elec-Trak is finally done.  It works great and I'm very happy with it. Everything was stripped and painted with the exception of the hood. It's in nice original condition, so I just left it. I have to say, '84-'99 New Holland Yellow from CNHI is a spot on match. It...

Re: New Project

Thanks guys!  Yeah, the attachments were one of the things that I think are outstanding. I have to find a good mower for mine. So easy to service! I liked that part of the video too, Dave G.  The tug of war was good too. lol Thanks for sharing, Steve! Would your family have any photos from that time...

Re: New Project

So true Ken, on all accounts. I'm going to start out with lead acid deep cycles and if I need to replace them down the road, lithium may be a bit more affordable. We'll see I guess, as I got about 10 years out of the pair of deep cycles I had in our camper. Like many things, they can last awhile if ...

New Project

Hi folks! Been awhile since I last posted and a lot has happened. I won't bore you with all of the details, but in the fall I sold my beloved 123 to be able to go electric; Elec-Trak to be specific. It was a really tough decision, but I am now restoring a 1971 General Electric E-12S. Hopefully it wi...

Re: Helping Hand Rear Carrier

For sure. And there have been a few times where I just needed to carry the odd heavy thing from one place to another, and this seemed like an easy solution. For the high volume loads, my custom dump box has been great, and I just picked up a dump tote from a Sears Suburban that I want to mount to th...

Helping Hand Rear Carrier

I have a custom dump box, which is great for moving large amounts or bulky material. I wanted something that I could mount to the tractor quickly for the odd heavy item, so here's what I came up with. The tow hitch supports it, the axle stabilizes it, and a single bolt keeps it in place. It's made o...

Re: Cub Cadet 147

Welcome! And nice Cub! As for snow, a plow or a blower are both great. It all depends on your circumstances. I live in the city with a small drive way and curbs, so for me, it's the blower. Here's a picture of me on my 123, having a "Scotty, I need more power!" moment. :D Cheers! Screenshot 2...

Re: What I did with my tractor today! (Pic heavy please!)

Thanks guys! I like to see them work too, Tom. It's a pity to see something collectible not be used. Museum pieces are for, well, the museum. :) I'm not far from Fort Erie, Jay, so a bit of a hike from Leamington. I do get out that way now and again to go to Point Pelee. Nice work with the tiller; I...

Big Mike, I'd move the coil too.
I just put some really long wires on mine and that way I can tuck it in my shirt pocket.
