Re: Made the cover of Cadet Connection!!
Thanks Ken, Mike & Bryan  Ken, you're about 1.5 hours down the road from me. We'll have to get together sometime and talk shop :D I have a Danco RD1025 loader on the 71 now. Much sweeter loader because it has a cylinder on the bucket where as the RD1000 is a trip bucket. Here's a few pics of t...

Craig, thanks bud! Here's a pic of the O' currently and from the looks of the weather it may remain in current state till next spring, but I'm looking at houses and trying to find one with a garage that I can heat. Jed, no down pressure with the RD1000. The RD1025 & 1075 had cylinders on the bucket ...

Yea :!: . Finally put the finishing touches on the 71 yesterday. Got the reproduction Danco decals on wednesday and they came out way nicer than I thought they would! Did cost me a pretty penny, but was well worth it as I have a file folder for future decals if needed. Now to tuck it away for the wi...

Finally got the bucket mounted tonight :D . Only waiting on decals now. Went to get new bucket pivot bar today, I asked for 1" cold rolled by 32". So guy goes and grabs bar length and measures, cuts it and then drills the holes for the cotter pins. The bill was $22 and I was stoked, till I got home ...

Thanks Todd  IT's almost done!! If things go well, maybe by the end of the week I'll have it finished. Re: Restoring my Danco RD1000 loader...
Thanks Max! and I'll take all the blame if you get a loader, specially if it's a Danco :D I went to the blacksmith yesterday and still no fender brackets so I took original bracket and bumper template to a metal fabrication shop. After waiting for 3 weeks from the blacksmith, these guys called me at...

Re: I felt sorry for it.....
LOL, wow I've seen some bad paint jobs in my day, but that's just horrible :D Would be nice if it was all tape and you could just pull it off, looks like that tape has been on there for a while and probably has become one with the paint underneath. I'd have a hard time taking it if someone tried to ...

Re: Restoring my Danco RD1000 loader...
Yes save the fenders !!! My bracket is 5" wide. You may not be able to go wider or the tires will hit inside, especially when running chains... Thanks Lew  I have the 4" brackets, the 5" ones wouldn't work either as I need 1-3/4" more space. I uploaded some pics of the mock up I did today. Mou...

Re: Restoring my Danco RD1000 loader...
Jude, The fenders have two different size mounting brackets. One is for the wider tires.Do your fenders have the shorter brackets? Not sure if the wider brackets will clear the loader mounts but it is worth checking before cutting up a good set of fenders.... Looks like you are coming along well. I ...

Re: Restoring my Danco RD1000 loader...
Thanks Mike! Got to thinking about the trouble I had mounting the pump up so I tried to attach one of the side frames today to see if that was all clear. Low and behold, I can't mount side frames and run fenders :x . Another lesson learned, that's why in all the Danco loader manuals you don't see an...

Thanks Max  I put some time in on the bucket today. It's the only piece that didn't need any major work done so I got it prepped and put a coat of primer on. Will sand and prime one more time before paint. Also got the control valve rebuilt with new o-rings. Will try to get the one good side f...

Re: Restoring my Danco RD1000 loader...
WooHoo :D Hydraulic pump is installed hooked up!! Took a bit of fabrication, but took my time and did it the right way, the way it should have been done before! Everything is unaltered so this RD1000 will bolt right up to a 70 & 100 if I ever do take off the 71. Thanks Max! The PO obviously didn't k...
