You can't stop with cubs your my cub cadet 1782 buddy.

On my 1782 it's has hole on the frame in front of the mule drive with nut welded on the inside and I used angle iron and bolted it to the frame. Though my 1606(yellow 582) just has holes with no nuts ,so it should work for a regular garden tractor.

I finally bit the bullet and bought a new spindle for the 1782. It was a $156.07 but well worth it. I also replace the filter and hy-tran another $55.00 ,but well worth it It woke the hydro, lift and power steering a bunch.

Well I my sleeve hitch is just about all international. I got the spring assit, rockshaft,gearbox and tiller for $150 bucks It all came of a 129. There are before and after pics.

Yeah, I can hold up with my hand all day long,but as I soon let off it shuts off.

My 1606 pto switch wouldn't stay up I replaced the Pto relay but, It still don't work. I don't no what's wrong please help!!!! I also bought some new/used shoes for my 1606

I would say my 1986 cub cadet 1606 is favorite and my first too.

I'm need the left spindle for my super. I tried to get a hold of steve coulter(Nashcub) he said he had one and I belive he is saving it for me. So, if any body has or steve is out there I really need one!!!!!!!! thanks Logan p.s please no NOS I can't pay them prices.

Matt, I am wanting to do a motor swap with my 1606 and a 2185. I' m buying the tractor from my neighbor for 200 bucks. I was wondering though, if you had to drill different mounting holes and what other modifications you had to do. I m also hoping I could put the Briggs in the 2185 and get my money ...

Here is pic of my 1782 (diesel ) I got for $500 and all that was wrong with it was the oil plug fell out.And it was still on the mower deck.
The guy looked at us funny when it had been setting a year and I drove it on the trailer.

I noticed the sticker by the serial number plate, I was tolled it was for what day your cub was made. How can I figure out the code on what day it was made, I have a CCC made 1606 and 1782. thanks logan

I tell you what that dadgum tractor made a lair out of me . This morning I fired it up and it worked just fine.I even pulled a load of dirt up a hill, not a problem. But thank you for all the info I will probably use it in the future.

I looked at it and all the pins are there. I still not sure maybe it is the pressure plates on the clutch? I don't but I need help. Thanks

I have a problem with my 1606. I have to ride the clutch for it to go. If you put a load on in like up a small hill it stops. I tried aujusting it but it seemed to work a little better. If anyone can help me please thank you .
