Thanks for all the replies. He replaced the diaphragm, he has plenty of vacuum, the carburetor was soaked overnight in carburetor cleaner (there was a lot of dirt) and other people have told him it might be an air problem. Any thoughts at this point?

I am interested in one of their 3 Pt hitch set-up for my 982 and was wondering when I raise and lower the snow plow if the 3 Pt will also raise and lower because it works of the same cylinder.

I'm wondering if the upper arm is already bent (which is what the strap is supposed to prevent). The force of trying to lift the blade would tend to force the arms apart like that. I don't know but I have seen where this attachment point is broken on Supers, maybe because it is a casting? I'm nervo...
