Re: Rebuilt Carb. & Only Runs @ 90% Choke.
Sounds to me like you have a bad vacuume leak. Did you check to make sure there is no left over gasket stuck to the block side or to the carb face. BTDT That creates a nice place to suck all kinds of air. I would also take the fuel line off the carb and open the petcock and see what lind of gas flow...

Re: powersteering issue
shouldnt need to take line off of cylinder to test it. there will be fluid on both sides of seal/o-ring. It's the easiest way to do a blow by check. That's how I determined mine was bad. Just remove one line leaving the cylinder mounted and turn the wheel all the way in one direction with the engin...

Re: POWER STEERING WON'T TURN TO RIGHT SIDE
Jerry my 1572 did the exact same thing. It's not a hard repair if you access to a lathe and a welder. There is an o-ring inside the cylinder that is worn out. You have to cut the weld off the butt end of the cylinder in the lathe and remove the rear portion of the cylinder and pull out the shaft. Fi...

Sounds to me like the o-ring in the power steering cylinder is shot. If you know someone who works in a machine shop they can be repaired.

Reviving a dead battery.
I read someones post a couple weeks ago about bringing a battery in poor shape back to life so I thought I would give it a shot. I took a specific gravity reading after trying to charge the battery and came up with 1.120 or less on all cells. So I drained all the cells down to the plates and filled ...

Re: Blower 451 on 2072 ????
I think there is a couple things to take into consideration. You will need a adapter kit for a super. It is basically a couple lowering plates because the super stands taller. Second if your PTO pulley is 6" you will be good to go.

I had my seat recovered at an auto upholstery shop. They did a fantastic job. I would look up a local shop and see what they can do for you. Good luck.

Re: Trunion Repair
If you have a welder and are welding on it anyway, it's FAR faster to weld up the wear in the corners and file them back into shape than welding pieces of shaft key or that repair piece on it. I'm not really a fan of that repair piece...something about throwing all that heat into the trunion seal o...

Re: Help with a 104
Yes there is a safety switch on a 104. Follow the clutch peddle under the tractor and about 1/2 way in between the frame rails there is a paddle fastened to the shaft. Should be a switch right there that is depressed when the peddle is pushed. Connector could have came off or the switch is bad. Once...

Re: Trunion Repair
When I repaired my trunnion I made a piece just like the one from extreme motor works but I cut off the worn out piece and welded the new one in. Ground 45's on each edge and welded then ground off the welds. Can hardly tell it from a stock piece.

Thanks for the input guys. I have all the different components to do this conversion. I will tackle this job in the spring as my 1641 is my snow blower tractor. Although we have no snow at the moment, if I get this tore apart now we would end up with a ft and a half of lake affect. Typical central NY

Has anyone ever converted a plastic cyclops style tractor to an 82 series. I think I have all the parts needed just do not know if I have to change out the tilt steering column or reuse it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have patched and repaired the plastic panels till there is no repair...

It would be just as easy to count one revolution on the input pully and count the revolutions of the output fan. Don't need to pull the gear box apart then.
