You won't get far mowing when that sucker starts to go, and when they are intermittent it acts like the PTO is going out.

Re: IH Registry Days and Members

It's good to see some names from the golden era of our hobby, and to remember a few we have lost. I'm guilty of drifting away, we still have Ohio Plow Day every fall but most of my limited hobby time is now consumed by the Farmall collection at the farm. I think, overall the hobby is in a period of ...

Re: Too far gone to save.

Anyhow, I wen't up to Toledo to pick up a 682 rear end and ended up with an IH built 682 roller.

Than I found out that these frames are pretty early in 82 series production. (I'm d]told it started at #665001 and one of these is 665634) Now I have to build tractors out of both of them.

Too far gone to save.

Too far gone to save, but not too far to give up some much needed parts. You have to wonder how a tractor that originally cost several thousand dollars could end up in a scrap yard, for about an hour anyhow. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4222/34772450192_d3d50c1860_z.jpg Now much of it will go towar...

Re: Rehabbing mower blades

The worst thing I have ever seen (As far as mower blades go) was on a quick attach 42" we had. They broke the center blade in half somehow, then welded it together along with the nut, onto the spindle. Needless to say all that got replaced as soon as I saw it. Stens still makes most of the blade we ...

You guys are gonna have to forgive me, I swear I checked the hard lines a half dozen times, and I could swear they were correct. I swapped them tonight, and now, everything works, power steering is super smooth, lift is fast, just perfect. :? I have never denied that I'm an idiot, in my own defense,...

Re: Project 1872.. the not working hydro adventure continues

Put a real honest to gosh Cub Cadet Filter on it and....no change. Bled every line, no change. I am at a loss, every thing I have tried, nothing helps, heavy steering, slow lift. I think it's in the box, but I am not going to spend another $50 on hoses to bypass it. Going to take the box apart and t...

Pretty sure it's a Cub Cadet filter, but I will check tomorrow, man if that's the problem after all this I am going to loose it.

GT and SGT have some differences, ended up splitting both Hydro units and moving the Charge pump from the GT to the SGT setup.

Sadly, still have the same problem. Going to take apart the Steering gear next.

Re: Project 1872.. the not working hydro adventure continues

With all this work done....Might b a good idea to verify each line is in its correct location. It gets tough down under the gas tank. If u have another unit u can trace each line.....That might b the easiest. Good luck. Every line has been taken off, checked for blockages, and double checked for it...
