Nice work as always Dave, what size battery is that, this one hits the hood when you close it. I am trying to find one to fit in my 1512.

Steve I am sure you know about this site. It has the current service manual with the updated page, yes page as I have a paper manual, but it is the one for 880,000 and below. http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/Dealer.do?rightAll=&number1=1&number2=2&number3=3 Dave, I have been scanning the service b...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Ken, Looks nice up yonder This time we had a big snow maker. Local weather in town said we got 33" in 2 days. I plowed with the trusty 125 and there was about 14"on Monday, it was nice any dry, but today's was a lot wetter and there was more. I began to run out of places to push it, so I had the use...

Re: PTO Switch 1811
Glad it was an easy fix Paul. If you go here you can find wiring diagrams for all cub cadet tractors. https://www.cubcadetpartsnmore.com/cub-cadet-wiring-schematics The reverse switch on mine gets repurposed and turns on a back up LEDs mounted next to the rear marker lights. Makes it so much nicer w...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics
Looks like fun Ken, a blower would work out better. We ended up with 16" of nice powder, but I still had to plow 2 times to clean it up.

Re: PTO Switch 1811
Paul, If you ordered the 925-0893 PTO switch, it is correct for the 1811. It does not stay up like the one on the 1650. Leaving it tied up to get it to work will eventually melt some wires going to the pto relay if used like that. So it is back to what Joe and I said about checking all the safety sw...

Re: PTO Switch 1811
Paul, Your pto may need adjusting of the air gap. Should be a procedure in the manual. There is a pto relay thingy on the left side of the dash tower under the side panel, check the connections and grounds. Seat switch? Is it bypassed, if so check those connections, also the reverse switch is it als...

The outside of the blocks on the cam side are shaped different between the two. The K161 does not have any holes drilled in that area or flat bosses. These pics are with the kohler numbers The K161 has most likley a 2 piece cam. The whole manual can be viewed here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D...

It is part 21 - in this case the bevel gear is the same on a 60 with a four speed. It is 490-714-R1 in that illustration. After digging through many images, I found out that it is a Foote transmission. Fafnir? Do you know of a source for those gears? Thanks in advance! John I have a cross reference...

You find so many red ones. Nice IH made 782.
You may have found one with a replacement motor. Does the motor have an oil filter?

Re: 582 repower
The briggs used a ball bushing to help with any engine height alignment issues, within reason, the the other driver you have to get the driveshaft to line up by using shims under the motor or under the clutch lever bracket, if not it the diveshaft will bind and your clutch will not work well. Drill ...

Too bad, looks like a nice tractor to flip. You need to find a 2185 or a 2042 with a command in it for the repower but what do I know.

Ken,
The last picture is what you will have to do.Easier than reworking the original one that is correct for the E lift.
Do you have one mounted on a 147?

When you say no start, does it turn over or not?
Both tractors use the same harness, according to this wiring diagram, so here is what I have for you.

Well Rick it looks like you done well. Yes as Joe mentioned the battery holdown is specific to the 3 digits. The thin axle is a plus. The pto linkage seems like a home made PO mod. The deck is what they came with, there was a kit to put the 3 blade 38" deck on a "O". The small spaces between the mou...

Joey,
A leaf blower works well for the 2" stuff.
No other cubs for snow removal lying around? I thought you had a bunch.
Okay I did some research in the library and found this picture for you.
