Re: Loader Mutt Continues...

So the knee is doing much better, and today I was able to get some cool forward motion- I got the long-reach lifting boom on the forklift, reached WAY INTO the workshop, and hooked on to the transaxle, and carefully withdrew it from the shop to the driveway... 20230507_122059.jpg 20230507_122109.jpg...

Hi Charlie! I don't know the immediate answer, but wanted to let you know that your post IS seen, and perhaps if I jump in, others will too. It's been a LONG time since I futzd with either clutch, IIRC there are slight differences, but I don't think anything really significant.  IF you're getting cl...

Re: Loader Mutt Continues...

No significant progress to report at the moment, aside from moving a few things around to get ready to mate the newly-beastial rearend assembly into Mutt's chassis.  I'll have to do a little fab work to the frame to make the new axle tubes' upper bolt locations mate well to the frame- the width is s...

The tug of war was good too. lol It was cute, but if the other tractor had been loaded to same weight as the battery-ballasted machine, it would have been no contest.   The Deere's available shaft horsepower was considerably higher than the electric drive's little belt, and the Peerless transmiss...

Congrats, Ken! So, EVERY one of those circumstances will have an accumulated effect on perofrmance, and I suspect you were seeing a little of all basically ALL the time, and a healthy dose of at least ONE tearing you up at crucial moments. Re: K 241 running badly

So... the most common failure I see in K-single points... is that the SPRING sacks out. It's a tempered steel strip spring, that coil current flows THROUGH. Easiest way to ruin it, is to accidentally leave the ignition switch on after the engine stalls. Sitting with engine stopped, points closed, an...

So, the hydrostat went in nice, and while the spi-rol was a PITA, I found that a worn-out extended-length T25 Torx bit with the shank polished down (chuck it in the drill, and spin it against the belt grinder for 30 seconds) and it actually did really well... the T25 point pushed the CENTER of the s...

Re: Electric Lift on an Aerator

So is it the Agri-Fab 45-0299? If so, it appears that the hand lever operates a shaft that rotates the wheels' swingarms to lift the unit. If this is the case, then a lift on the tractor's 3-point will not do any good- the implement wasn't designed to be lifted off the ground with it's tongue... you...

Welcome!!! And yes, the difference between a 'lawn tractor' and a Garden Tractor: Lawn tractors are mowers that are vaguely shaped like tractors, and are ridden by people who don't like to walk-behind. Garden Tractors are intended to actually 'do' work, and one of those things, if you so choose, wil...
