Re: QL taillights

Well said Oldskull! The set of Peterson I have on the 149 has the bullseye lens but seem to magnify the set of T10 strobe bulbs I installed. Turn the lights on and non strobe mode, turn off and back on again and they strobe. I took on a job that the property required a tractor must have strobe ligh...

Re: QL taillights

Back in the day (10 yrs ago) I got a set of Reflec-O-Lite's on ebay for $40 NOS...very hard to find these days. Since I have used Bargman 378 and/or Peterson. Bargman I think I had to solder a hot lead wire (and drill a hole thru the base for the wire). Peterson or PM has a hot lead and ground lead...

Re: Any other gun nuts around here? :)

I built a headache rack for our Mule and at times I'll mount the Voodoo Tactical bag which fits perfectly on the rack and can be easily removed for hauling chores. Then later I added the gun rack. So now I can pack up to 3 long arms and 2 pistols w/bag and rack. No more banging my head on a gun rac...

This is a cool topic! Nice weaponry I see! Full auto, semi and bolt...that "lefty" caught my eye...my 12 yr old grandson is a left handed shooter. I did a course in armorer school when I was in the army and that got me hooked from there. That's when I fell in love w/the 1911A1 .45 ACP "match" builds...

Re: Quiet line Questions

Good input gentlemen on the issues at hand. My Quietline was a fence row find, my first restoration. If my wife knew the funds I spent on the machine, well it would be ugly for me. I would have to say of all models I have had it would be a tie w/the quietline's and the original. Runner up would be ...

Hey Denny, I have repaired several pan seats in the past and try to as much as possible to retain the circle. Also have been lucky enough to have a few w/no cracks but I will go ahead and do a small stitch weld on the bottom mounting bracket to help prevent any future stress. I lost a lot of my fil...

Borg "Tick Tock" hour meter FRIED!

Has anyone ever seen this before? I traced the wiring and see no known faults. This was a very nice IH stamp hr.meter...before it fried. Still looking for a good replacement. Gauge failure or have I missed something during inspection?

New added options for the 1250

Finally installed a rear lift and spring assist on our 1250. About a year ago I brought home two front gang Brinly disc's. It took the two to make one good one. All parts sandblasted, primed and painted (including lift). There is major pitting on the frame and some on the disc plates, I could have ...

169 CC

Have a chance to purchase a 169 w/hyd lift. I have owned only one prior and it had a manual lift. Most of us know that during production in 1974 IH ran short of the hyd lift hardware. Why did IH choose to rob Peter to pay Paul?...Meaning continued installing hyd lifts on the 149 rather than the 169...

Not only vintage cubs are my passion but I enjoy custom work w/my trusty Ruger 10-22 carbine rifles. Thanks Vince! I was expecting to see a story of Georg Eisenberger's collection. By the way I do not think Georg is doing well. I'm still waiting for a reply about his heart condition. Last email from him he was not at home but in the hospital/clinic for research. I do hope he is OK.
