Re: Better than a zero turn....

Yeah Ken..I love that goop! As a teenager one of my friends started calling it Camel snot....and that kinda stuck for me 40 years later. I don't think I have a clearance issue...I'm more thinking it's a rubber aging issue. The 5 or 6 year old seal was ready to pop out. Probably one slight star...

Better than a zero turn....

So Back a couple months ago I was mowing.... and in my fixed coma state of looking straight ahead I noticed a puff of smoke. As I woke up I noticed it again....uh-oh... I quickly stopped and gathered my thoughts. I wondered about the front seal. So I leaned over while still on the seat and looked do...

Yeah..cpvc is trash! PEX is the only way to go for that kind of pressure. And you can snake it all around without all the joinery.

...oh man....come on guys...we need to grow up. We're not kids anymore! We are adults! I finally got a job and working full time now and I will say it's awful! Gone are the days of making fun of you guys three times a day.... Getting scolded by our leader with two first names....and tinkering around...

Good stuff here guys! I can't contribute anything .....but man it takes me back to my grandparents House....and the "radio room"! Poppop lived for his radios. This is all that's left of his large collection. The blue tape is my clamp to hold while I super glue the 3 back on. Sad to say it ...

Nice Ken...that little briggs looks fun. My first motor go cart was made of some scrap wood and grandmas old reel mower engine. I was pretty young so i think dad did most of the work. He obviously did the gear ratios as well...cause it was about as fast as the reel mower. I was not wearing my helmet...

Re: Rear Oil leak in my 682

I don't know of a dipstick on the cast rear ends. I think you're right about the plug in the rear cover plate. That would be your check...and your fill. I don't believe the "bucking" would be due to slightly low on fluid but I guess it's possible. I think I have mostly heard of the bucking...

Cool Ken! I'm just thinking.... what were these used in? I guess the "generator base"
means a gen set for electric generation. Other uses.... Lawnmower? Washing machine? Farm uses? Looks like a clutch pedal sticking out the side?

Oh man ...that stinks! When you said it hasn't leaked since you parked it...i was thinking the check valves. But then I zoomed in on your first picture and I see the edges of the check valves. The look pretty dry to me. Others please chime in if I'm missing something. So based on that I'm thinking i...

Yeah same Mike. Only I have switched it up a bit now that battery power is soo nice. Used to use compressed air....then I got a plug in leaf blower for a lot more volume. I was happy using that old black and Decker for a couple years, then one day some nice red battery tools started making there way...

Sorry Ron....I don't even know where to begin on this. Sounds like you need to start reinstalling some of the safety switches one at a time. Most times they are a good thing and work properly. It's when people do all kinds of rework that gets people into trouble like you are in now. If a switch fail...

That looks like it has potential...but! I personally don't like gears. They are too slow or too fast. Re: Series I or II?

Not real familiar with the 1806. If you are open to the yellow then the 1810, 11, 12 would be a great option. The 10 being manual lift, 11 being hydraulic lift, and 1812 being the holy Grail with hydraulic lift and remote ports on the front for a snow plow power angle. 1812 is super rare. 1811 is ve...
