Re: 127 lives!

This 127 I bought back in 94. It's my first, but growing up we had a 126. That one had the factory hydraulic pump that hung on the side. I've done little spruce up jobs to mine here and there but nothing major. The lights are original. The light switch is getting very stiff....I guess from sitting. ...

Re: First mow pics

Here is my official first mow pic. FYI, I'm already cool on the trac vac. Too much on and off the seat, then I have a super heavy can to do something with. I'm just chopping up the bean things.

Re: 127 lives!

When I bring each trailer home, I unload a couple wheelbarrow loads of mulch to beds right by the driveway. I also try to keep the trailer "somewhat" balanced for two reasons. First to make the switch over from vehicle to tractor easier, second is for tongue weight. I do have some elevation changes ...

127 lives!

Mulch around here is a big job. This year was the first year that three old timers worked on it together. Me, my wonderful wife, and the amazing 127! I trust the 127 for the heavy lifting...and pulling. Chains are a must especially with the morning dew. We did 4 very full trailer loads that equals a...

Re: Leaking Hydro

Good job on the repair. I didn't know that these "newer" tractors were cursed with the leaky gasket. The diy brackets look good too. I should probably do that....but I probably won't.
Good to see you again... and don't be such a stranger.

Re: First mow pics

Sounds like a good plan Ken. I like the WD idea, we have some at work so I set out four cans to take home. Maybe instead of spraying....I will make a dunk tank. Might need a few more gallons....not a problem!

Re: First mow pics

Got the vacuum hooked up. It works ok.....It doesn't help that my mower deck has about zero lift. I would say it grabbed 60 percent of the bean pods I was aiming for. I only used it in in one section of my yard and filled one can. I will probably do a different section each week for a few weeks. The...

There's a new toy in town this year. This should be a game changer for spring cleanup. Sticks, branches, piles of dirt, whatever is in my way! Probably do an oil change this weekend too. Yes the old stuff has it's "charm"! Most of us probably have these old tractors for one reason....we don't mind the occasional project. Lol. Don't climb under and get all oiled up for us. Just kick that 147 to the curb and let me know when....I will be right there. Lol. Does it have electric lift?
